My favorite place ,it’s not just dinner ,it’s an experience

Not the best restaurant. Portions are small. and expensive. The chef concentrates more on presentation that volume of food. I guess that's fine for some people but when I go to a restaurant I want to be satisfied and not have to go eat again

Yesterday was our first time in this magnificent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We passed a splendid evening with the generous service, with the fine cooking and fine drinks and with the comfortable price. We will absolutely return there in a short time.

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant! We dine in NYC regularly and this little gem is on par with any outstanding restaurant we have gone to. It is a family affair and the warmth and welcome we receive whenever we dine there is wonderful. I cannot for the life of me understand the one or two bad reviews. Never have we encountered rudeness or condescending attitude from anyone. I have to believe these people should look at their behavior...sounds as if they were the rude ones.

So last night we had dinner with our friends Cathy and Pete. It was an experience. We had to be there by 6:00pm which I thought was crazy early but ok. We walked in and the owners daughter Cassandra seated us and asked us if we were ready to begin our journey? Sure!! She asked if anyone has any food allergies or dietary restrictions and Kim tells her she does Keto. Well Cassandra took it from there. No menus. It’s a four course meal. She decided what we were eating . We had no idea this was the case but we looked around and no one had menus. It was crazy but fun at the same time. You had no idea what was coming next. We actually played guessing games at one point because the change the silverware between courses. At one course I got a spoon and fork and Pete got a serrated knife and fork so we were trying to figure out what we were getting next . She paired the wine with every course too. Everything was amazing and everyone got something they probably would not have ordered. You are totally out of your comfort zone. We had been there before and this never happened. She said they have been doing this for about 3 years now and only with couples. Looking at the clock as we were leaving it was after 10:00pm. The journey was over 4 hours. Would I do it again? Absolutely!!!

A wonderful dining experience. We had not been there in over 2 years but was welcomed warmly even though you needed a reservation on a Saturday night. The menu is chefs choice. They ask you a few questions about what you like and dislike and any allergies. They brought over 2 glasses of prosecco to cleanse our pallet and hot fresh rolls with herb butter, rosemary infused olive oil and olives. Our appetizers were sauteed scallops, and octopus salad, both perfectly prepared. It was paired with a light and crisp Italian whit wine. My wife wasn't a fan of her scallops so they graciously brought over another appetizer of fried artichokes. She was thrilled! We split the pasta which was fettuccine with a roasted pistachio cream sauce. I wish I had more bread to get the sauce off the bottom of the dish. My main course was pork osso bucco with mango chutney and pipped mashed potatoes and my wife had braised short ribs with sweet potatoes. The main courses were delicious and cooked perfectly. They let us pick our desserts. I choose fresh berries cobbler with vanilla ice cream and my wife got lemon mousse. Both were as good as they sound. My suggestion is plan to go here for a wonderful dining experience!

Amazing dinning experience, we had Cassandra do it all, select the courses and wine pairing. I tasted dishes I would have never selected such as octopus and wild boar chop which were surprising delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you’re in in the mood to be adventurous. Exquisite food, atmosphere and service. Cassandra is so knowledgeable, gracious and quite hip. Cost about $200 for 2 people included wine, 4-5 courses and dessert. Great experience, totally worth it.
