Friends said this was a good spot… Cute place but my food all came out cold (they were not busy at the time), the bartenders spent most of their time complaining about the money they made on their last shift instead of looking after their customers and their pomegranate margarita, while decently strong, did not taste like pomegranate and looked like they put red dye in it. Will not be going back to this spot.

We have been going to Mexicali Blue for years. It is one of our favorite places to go. I never tried the black bean soup until yesterday and am happy to say it was one of the best black bean soups I have ever tasted. My go to dish is the salmon tacos. The side of rice and beans are amazing. The salsa is authentic.... and the margaritas... worth every penny. I highly recommend Mexicali Blue.

Everything about this place is excellent. The staff treats you like family and the food is consistently great. Don’t let the location fool you (it’s in a strip mall near a McDonald’s), this is a genuinely solid place of you like quality food. Just found out they fry their tortilla chips in real beef tallow, and they know the name of the supplier! They also make their margaritas from scratch - no premixed stuff. Highly recommended

This place is so delicious! They recently changed their prices too, and it’s so reasonable! You can get so much food for a great price and it’s always fresh! The service is excellent and I love that they have gluten free wraps and corn tacos!

Chris made me his special beef Tongue on a corn tortilla. The guy was at the top of his class at the CIA and his cooking shows. He’s a great guy and he just made the best taco ever.. not kidding. Tom was a such a good dude to talk to. If you anything goes wrong he’s your guy. And Brittany, not hooked me up with the A margarita that sent me to the moon. And let me very happy, but she’s a pretty dope chick too..
Love the fresh unique flavors of the tacos and burritos. Margaritas are perfect too. Don’t like you have to pay for chips and salsa and it’s a small portion. Should definitely be cheaper!

Really great place, always clean!! Friendly staff. My go to... charizo taco, side of jalapeno along with some custom make your own hot sauce. My wifes is tuna taco...yummy!!! We love authentic Mexican cuisine but if you want something other than lettuce cheese and tomatoes on your tacos give this venue a try, I think you'll be pleased.

Mexicali makes my favorite burrito — I’ve been getting the same one for years, the chili lime chicken. Their homemade hot sauces are the best, I love the pineapple and lime flavors. I miss the little New Paltz location (always looked forward to that pineapple hot sauce burrito after a hike) but glad the Wappingers location exists

Every time I find myself in the area, I make sure I grab some burritos from Mexicali Blue. The catfish burrito is the best. I bring home enough that the family can eat for a couple of days. Eating in is great too. The best.
