Paula's Runway Cafe'

First time visited Paula’s today, Jan. 5, 2025. Had a delicious breakfast with wife, will definitely be my go to place from now on! Friendly staff and friendly owner!

This is going to be tough for me to say especially when I see some of the not so great reviews, and what looks like an inability to except criticism. Here I go! The dumplings are always awesome! The side salads were ok. Salad should not be served on a warm plate. The Reuben was very good and the price wasn't too bad. (16.95) The mashed potatoes that I ordered as the side were cold and terrible. Now, here's the really not so good. The pasta dish with grilled chicken (26.50 Huh?!) This dish was incredibly dry with a small piece of grilled boneless chicken breast (sliced in strips and also dry). The pasta was a combination of rigatoni and penne. That in itself seems odd. I don't know if that's purposely done or if they were running short on one of, or both of the pastas and simply threw them together. The service was great like and Paula is always hospitable. I honestly think that she should start overseeing all the food coming out of the kitchen. Oh, and the music is awful! You shouldn't have to navigate your way through the lobby to go to the bathroom or to leave.

This is probably one of my favorite airport. Restaurants service here is very good. Good menu choice for breakfast

Very stark and not warm atmosphere as opposed to the other place. Feels like a cafeteria style and the lobby as an event space for music is just odd! Food and staff still great, but I’m not into the vibe anymore 😔

OMG! Passed by here many times and finally dropped in for dinner.
While the atmosphere is slightly outdated, the food and drinks and service are top notch!
I had the lemon risotto with shrimp and it was simply delicious!!!! My husband had the fish and chips and raved about them. He had a Guinness and I had an aperol spritz.
The 2nd time I again had the risotto as it was so good, hubby had the jambalaya, one of the specials. We both enjoyed our meals immensely. Paula, the proprietress, came to our table to say hello and bought my husband and me drinks. Hub had a Guinness and I had the drink special, Purple Rain. It was soooo tasty!
We ended with a slice of cannoli cake and will be back again soon. There aren't many locally owned restaurants in the area so I'm so glad we found Paula's!

Had to stop here at KPOU for a little business for a week. This $125 Burger joint is one of a kind as many are. Live music during the week. Great great foods and service!! Great ambiance and a happy place. Got pilots from a hundred miles away or more stopping in for lunch. The FBO Rocks too!! Fuel is high up here but the amenities equal it out. Great crew on the ramp! Paula is on site I found out just saying hi. She’s good at what she does.

Went for breakfast with my family, Paula come over to see how things were. We all chatted for a bit, she is such a warm welcoming host. She made sure my nephew had crayons to doodle with.
The food is good, the service was ok. My mom spilled her milk to her coffee. So I asked Paula for a damp rag to I could wipe the floor up. My mom was embarrassed, Paula was so sweet about it and insisted she help clean it up. I can not say enough about Paula’s hospitality. This place is good, Paula makes it exceptional! Thank you for making us feel at home. We will be back soon!

I’d like to thank my hotel for ending their breakfast service at 10AM. This allowed for my son and I to find this little gem. Amazing atmosphere that included a “Do Wop” band on this fine Sunday morning. I can’t recall our waitresses name, but we shared a story about her daughter studying abroad in Italy. I wish we had something like this in the Utica area. We won’t soon forget our visit!
