Everything from service to atmosphere to taste is impeccable! Everything we had was delicious and the place is peaceful and beautiful. We were never left wanting for anything. So nice to have great Indian food here in Poughkeepsie.

Hubby and I make a point to eat Indian food in whatever city in the US we happen to be at and Tamarind,didn't disappoint.Food was delicious and service was excellent!
Hubby had the chicken tikka masala and I,the goat dish,both delicious.The place tastefully decorated and great ambiance.

Excellent all round. Quality food and tentative service. The lunch set is a must try, a sample of all the good things from this restaurant. Every item was prepared to perfection. The chicken was so tender. The lentils were hearty and tasty with just enough spice. Both and roti and naan were warm and fresh, and not too stodgy. We ordered a vegetarian set and a chicken set to so we could swap some items. It was perfect. I’ll definitely be back for the dinner service.
