Wonderful experience I was here January 31,2026, Our server with Emily,The food is very good,The service was great. Jay the owner was very welcoming always checked in on us to make sure we were good. He Gave my daughter an awesome birthday entry . I’m a person that loves to try a little bit of everything when it’s ordered. This way I can come back and give my exact feedback. my favorite meal was the fillet fried fish. Half of our table ate the salmon with rice and peas It comes with a side. I took a whole Fried red snapper to go. We ordered some lemon pepper and honey garlic wings very good. The jerk chicken was very good and it came with mashed potatoes. for appetizer, we had the ceviche cups- bang bang cauliflower. Drinks we had the rum punch- great place to just chill by the bar and eat.

Me & my guy came to Zen for brunch and was not disappointed. Firstly, the music was dope! My guy was also able to watch his fav football team in the big screen while we ate. The ambiance was great…well lit, spacious table settings and very clean! We didn’t have to eat to be seated and our waters was very attentive and kind. The food was great…I had the creole shrimp and grits with a side of cheesy scrambled eggs and the portions did not disappoint. He had steak, which was very well seasoned but not salty, eggs and home fries. The meal tasted awesome. Before we left, the Owner Jo, came over to ask how our meal was and that was a nice touch to the whole experience.This spot is a VIBE! Check it out…you won’t be disappointed!

This place was AWESOME! The food and drinks were amazing. My husband and I went here 1 night on a whim and now we are pretty much regulars. The Chef is VERY talented and consistent! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone use to having EXCELLENT Caribbean food at a VERY reasonable price. See you there!

Zen Caribbean Soul Fusion: Come hungry, leave… eventually.
The food here is delicious, no doubt about it, but you might want to bring a sleeping bag and an overnight kit if you plan to eat. It took over four hours for our meal to arrive, and when it finally did, the order was incomplete. By then, we were less excited about the flavors and more exhausted from the wait.
If you have the patience of a saint or a lot of free time, you will enjoy the food. Otherwise, consider this more of an endurance test than a dining experience.
Update* Addressing the owners response, I have attached a text message that happened real time during the visit Zen. No reason to make up the timeline. It was already three hours into the visit, before food was delivered and over for hours before all food was served. I’ve changed my review of the food to one star because no one should have to wait half of business day to receive a food order.

HOWEVER, I checked yelp reviews and a lot of people were saying they found hair in their food... so l decided to OPEN UP my shrimp quesadilla to make sure there was nothing in there and of course I found a piece of hair! 🥲 I already ate most of my food, so I wonder what else was in there! It's a shame because the food is very flavorful, but it seems like there’s an issue with cleanliness. Me and bf are upset because we spent almost $50 for our food just to find something in it. 🤦🏾♀️

The place looks great has a lot of potential to be a gem in the area, but the service is very bias. I was told if you smoke hookah you can’t be served drinks you have to go inside and get it yourself. The table next to me has hookah and his drink is served to him I asked the server why and was told “he was waiting a long time” but I was there before him. I asked about food and was told I can’t eat outside if I’m smoking hookah which I thought is crazy all I ask for was an appetizer. So I asked what if I were to order it to go he said “oh that’s fine then” which I thought it crazy I had to open the bag of food and eat it that way on the table smh. A few mins later another table has food and hookah brought out to them. After that I got up and left. Oh and the guy told me if I wanted a new charcoal it’s gonna be $25 which I also thought was insane.
This place is absolutely AMAZING! The food and staff are superb! Special THANK YOU to Joe (Manager), Mecca (Chef), and Jayna (Bar/Waitress)! We will definitely return!!

My daughter brought me here for a pre-birthday celebration. I had the lamb, mac and cheese, and collard greens!! Everything tasted great; however the collard greens were the best I’ve tasted in a long time! The chef for sure put his foot in it if you know what I mean 😂🤣!! I will definitely be returning soon!!

First time at Zen. Place is very clean, cozy, comfortable, service was great, prices were reasonable ,smooth jazz music was playing and I got to meet one of the owners. I had the oxtails meal and a friend had chicken wings. I'm going back and highly recommend others eat here. But I have a message to the patron who broke the sink in the men's bathroom, you know you did it and you need to do the right thing and pay the owners for the damage.
