Absolutely lovely service, but rather bland food. The Pineapple Pork Bowl (shredded pork, pineapple chunks, mango glaze, and Mexican slaw over cilantro lime rice) had nary a sprig of cilantro and the rice was almost certainly boil-in-bag--that said, the pork was piping hot and crispy. Neither the Pineapple Pork Bowl nor the Chimichanga (carnitas) seemed to have any salt or other seasoning. Otherwise, we appreciated that diners were, for the most part, wearing masks when not eating/drinking and the restaurant staff was keeping things sanitary.

My wife and I had just spent a full day hiking up Ampersand Mountain in the Adirondacks above Tupper Lake. We were staving and looking for a decent place to eat. We have been craving Mexican lately, so that's what we searched for. We found this was only 7 miles away and in the direction we were heading home. First things first... the Jalapeño popers were great, freshly made, crispy and delicious. My raspberry margarita on ice was also very good. The problem started with are main entrées. My wife ordered a chicken chimmecanga, and I ordered steak enchiladas. Both tasted good, but somehow the red sauce on both tasted more like Italian... than Mexican??? Soo... we ate it, we enjoyed it... but it did not satisfy our craving for Mexican. Because this was an attempt at Mexican. We didn't hate the experience or the food, it was actually good. But we were disappointed, because we went there looking for Mexican food and got???

My husband and I stopped here for a quick bite. We ordered 2 appetizers; the Friday special of loaded queso nachos and bacon wrapped jalapeños. The queso was delicious and was made from scratch when the order was placed. For our main courses we couldn’t decide on which quesadilla we wanted. Crispy Buffalo chicken, chicken quesadilla, and a steak quesadilla. All 3 were cooked to perfection and a hefty portion. The chips and salsa served to us when we arrived were fresh and warm. My drink of a berry sangria was tasty, I could’ve stayed there all night ordering them. Service was spectacular! Greeted and was able to choose our own table. The owner was very friendly and inviting. Looking forward to another visit!

The place was well worth the visit. We have talked about trying it since it opened. The menu is relatively basic but we'll prepared. Portions were good sized and nicely presented. Margarita's were good, not overpowering on the tequila. The chocolate filled churros are a great way to finish off your meal. Prices are reasonable and if you are in the Warrensburg, Johnsburg, Chestertown area, it is nice that you don't have to go down to Lake George to have Mexican food (and over pay for it). The waiter was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

Best Margherita I have had in the Adirondack! So good. My family and I really enjoyed the taco deal. Price is awesome and they were willing to serve us 45 min to close without any issues plus they said they would have even if it were 10mins to close. Very family friendly.

I ordered to go. I got an order of fish tacos and an order of chicken tacos. The food tastes like bar food in a tortilla. The rice is rice a roni with lime. The half the chicken was rubbery. I paid $22 for a fish fry and rice a roni.

This is a great spot for Mexican, where the Margaritas are mouth wateringly great, the fish tacos are really flavorful, and the staff is very attentive and down home at the same time. Definitely worth a trip!

Had a great time at Ocho Cinco. This place is a real gem in the mountains. Our server was excellent and the food was really nice. They were able to seamlessly give us gluten free for some and dairy free for others. We all really enjoyed the dishes and unique sauces. Definitely recommend this place whenever you are near.

Amazing food, from the ever so amazing tacos and chimichangas to the Jarritos just perfect! Staff is very polite and helpful and accommodating of dietary preferences and spice sensitivity!

Wasn't great. Ordered a few meals for take out. Ordered a Chimichanga that wasn't fried. Had chips and queso as well. Queso was decent but they didn't take the time to separate the tortilla chips when they fried them so half my chips were stuck together and half cooked. Guacamole was ok. Wasn't a lot of flavor in the rest of the food we got. Maybe dine in would be better.

Worried when we (6) pulled in lot. Restaurant was empty, bar adjacent crowded. Wow, food was great, waitress who was also bartender was busy, but very attentive to us. She was totally fun. Lots of takeout was going out the door while we were eating our chips and salsa, bowls, tacos, fajitas. Definitely going back! A great Mexican gem.

We got chicken and steak enchiladas and margaritas. The food came out quick. was perfectly displayed and tasted amazing. Not overly spicy for those who are not fans. Perfect flavor. Clean and comfortable environment. Wonderful service. The cook on tonight, Joe was delightful and did very well with his dishes. I highly recommend if you love Mexican style foods.

My wife and I had dinner at Ocho Cinco’s last night and we both had good meals. My wife is gluten-free and there were many options for her to choose from. I had the shrimp bowl and my wife had the pineapple pork bowl and both were very good and very reasonable and the service was great. We will be back.
