Used to be a nice place but it's gotten bad recently

John Hungerford

The place was dirty as hell.

Excellent food and great beer. Definitely the place to stop in Warsaw! We had a burger, sandwich and salad. All were excellent.

Ordered a few drinks and a burger and wings. The fries and wings were a bit overdone but the burger was amazing. Staff was really nice too

Came in for food and waited 15 minutes for server to stop chatting, to be told the kitchen closed 2 minutes ago

Both the bar and tables were moderately busy when we walked in. Most everyone was drinking beer and wine...didn't notice a bunch of time consuming cocktails around. We sat at the bar. The bartender was busy at the computer screen with her back to us....and it stayed that way for nearly 10 minutes while 2 more customers came in and also sat at the bar....she was so engrossed with her screen work she never addressed us nor the newest customers. Not so much as a smile and "I'll be right with you". And it's not like the place is so big you wouldn't notice the door opening followed by a swoosh of cold air coming in! When she finally turned around (we were literally right behind her at the bar) the bartender didn't even acknowledge us and went straight to the customers who came in 5 minutes after we did. After serving them and having little chat with some obvious regulars and a man who appeard to be a manager? Owner? Alas!! Her royal highness turned and graced us in all her glory with a grump face in her frumpy oversized flannel. I asked for a Jameson on the rocks and she spun into action with the veracity of a dying sloth....apparently unable to manage taking a drink order from the very not invisible person obviously sitting with me. Poor dear thing, such a daunting task to ask of her after working so hard tapping away at that computer screen! Eventually we both ordered a Jameson on the rocks, which came in huge rocks glasses with lots of rocks and just enough liquor to cover the bottom of the glass. By the time the once wonderful whiskey had made its journey through the shattered glacier in my glass it arrived to my pallet watery and degraded, tasting more like stale, melted ice than a fine Irish whiskey. We had planned on getting an appetizer or two, but we weren't given menus and we both left our phones in the car. Didn't want to bother the miserable bar maid anyway....she definitely looked the type to "accidentally" spit in your soup. Really a shame...The Amber Lantren is the only pub in this little town as far as I know of...and the place has massive potential. But from my experience here the Lantrens light is a dwindling one at best. The customer service is pathetic....nobody appears to be in charge or care. Do yourself a favor....go a few doors down to the liquor store or a few in the other direction to the 7-11 for a beverage, then hit Tops for some cheese and crackers. You'll save time and $ and if you look in the mirror you got a better chance of getting a smile than you do in this place!!!!

Small bar in downtown Warsaw, NY serving competent bar food. Our server was also the bartender and she was nice, but definitely busy.We started with two draft drinks and two apps. The fried pickle? spears were decent, but the pretzel bites were hard? We both got burgers? with fries?... again competent.Total for two was just over $80 with tax and tip, which is higher than we'd typically like for a weeknight dinner... but not mad about it.I do wish this and more dining establishments would charge customers with obnoxious, loud or otherwise poorly parented children. A multi-generational family with 2 little monsters were so damn loud!Free Range Children == Lazy Parenting ?

They had Great burgers, family friendly atmosphere and accommodating to party of 20 on late notice!

I had a Ryan burger and onion rings. The burger was HUGE and cooked perfectly. The onion rings were great. Hot light breading and not the least bit greasy. My better half had Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla. Everything was good, except the bacon... a bit undercooked, but not terrible. My Jack Daniels neat was VERY generous... Had a second one!Service was wonderful.

My wife and I were in town for our wedding anniversary and found this place to eat. The atmosphere is homey, the staff very attentive and the food came quick and was delicious. Thanks for a nice memory.

Amber Lantern is more like a town bar instead of a brewery but that is ok. There were many older men in there who seem like they maybe go every night and they were all drinking bottled beer instead of the craft options. Also some locals doing shots very early in the night on a weeknight. Made for a good show while we waited 45 minutes for a quesadilla and a burger. The burger was advertised as a smash burger but it wasn't smashed which was bizarre. Quesadilla was good for bar food. Beer tasted like 2005 but that's fine by me.

The online reviews were great, but unfortunately our experience was not. I was looking forward to a handcrafted burger. I've never been more disappointed. I ordered a mushroom swiss burger medium rare. It came out very well done and very dry-so dry it was difficult to swallow, with a small portion of cold canned mushrooms on top and cheese that was only half melted. I won't be going there again.

Nice decor, stopped in whilst scouting commercial real estate rentals on a walkabout. The owner should be more interested in his own business than his customer's. Typical small town mentality gets you either bought out or put out of business. Cute bartender girl can holla if she see this. Let's roll KY baby girl. F NY.
