My family and I have been here in prior years and always enjoyed our visit. This year we parked at the top of the dirt road in the same lot we parked in prior years. Apparently there is some fallout between the owner of the winery and the owner of the distillery. No walking to the distillery. You must drive. The individual directing traffic was rude to my family when they tried to walk. We got in our car and drove down only to find out there is a $5 per person 'admission fee' to walk through a very small 'store' and stand in line to pay for drinks. They lost me as a customer with the admission fee. You get nothing except the privilege of waiting in a long line to spend more money. No thanks.

Dave’s is a horrible experience. We parked up at the winery and they are connected by a road. We walked down to be greeted by a parking enforcer who told us we had to drive down and pay admission. We said we would just pay the admission but told us we had to park there to go apple picking. I spoke with the owner and he smiled the whole time and said we had to drive down and pay admission to go apple picking with them. Even when we said we would pay the admission he smiled and said no we had to drive down and park in that lot. We wanted to enjoy both the orchard and the winery but loved and appreciated and enjoyed the winery so much.go to the winery for sure

Beautiful landscape and walking path, 90’s music was bumpin’, and owners were as sweet as it all

Perfect way to spend an afternoon. Beautiful and charming distillery nestled on a hill next to a scenic pond. Cocktails were impressive and made with love. They had wine and beer and non alcoholic as well.Dogs are welcome! Enjoyed all of the yard games and live music.

Once in a while you're traveling and stumble into a truly magical place. On our long weekend in Warwick we happened upon Apple Dave Distillery and it was the most relaxing place I've been to in a while. My wife had one of their cocktails made with their own apple jack ( the Deanna). It was fantastic. The grounds are beautiful and the live music was very good. This is a not to miss place to visit when in the area.

This place is great. They had live music and a food truck. A much better time than the winery next door. Winery next door is a lame excuse for a business. Go to Apple Dave’s

Staff not welcoming or friendly. Lack of signage. Dusty, not much there. Definitely the worst of the stops we made.

this is really SAD! SAD! SAD!- this has being a family tradition for 32 years where we all go and enjoy the day - my kids grew up going here and they also have lead into taking their family and friends. BUT things have changed for the worse- it seems due to a family feud they separate the place into three separate areas, separation are done with metal fences and it really looks like a prison. you need to get back in your car to go to the other areas. As a tradition we would buy 2 cases of wine and open one, sit on a blanket as the kids and friends picked apples- Now you need to pay $5.00 to enter the area on top of the cost of the apples - donuts shot up to $22 a dozen... typically we spent an average of $500.00 when we went here on everything. We walked away disappointed as many other families did-... Your family issues should not be our problem! I wonder what the original founders would think of this! This will be the last time we set foot in this place as we now located a different location. WE do hope this place will go back to it's original GLORY!!! maybe then we will return!

It pains me to write this, but this place has really fallen off… Like others have stated, it seems like these folks have gotten quite greedy. In years prior, we would meander our way through Applewood Winery, hit all of our spots, and finish the day off at Apple Dave’s Distillery on the deck. All of a sudden these are separate businesses, and you are unable to walk freely between Applewood Winery and Apple Dave’s. No more apple picking, relaxing on the deck, and no more walking around the pond, or listening to the band. That’ll be extra! I’m not sure if this is due to crowd control issues or a serious rift between Dave and Mr. (Ms.??) Applewood. BIG turnoff DAVE! If I had to choose, I’d hit the “winery”, and go somewhere else in the area for apple picking. We don’t need you, Dave!

Never again! For many years we would make at least 2 trips a year to the orchard and distillery with multiple families. We would park at the neighboring Applewood Winery. We would grab a couple of flights of cider or wine. Then we would walk to the orchard so the kids could pick some apples, then grab a drink from the distillery and food for the kids. After eating we would buy stuff from the orchard store, walk back to the winery for another tasting and to buy a couple of bottles before leaving. A nice family day. This year after parking The winery and doing our usual, we were told by employees of the orchard that we were not allowed to walk down to the orchard. We were told we would have to go back to our car and drive down because of safety reasons. After moving our car and parking at the orchard, we found out the real reason. They are now charging $5 per person to enter. So we were charged $50 for four adults and six children to purchase overpriced apples and items in the store. I have never had an issue paying an inflated price for the apples as I understood that is how they made their money. I do have an issue with being charged $5 per person for the right to buy over priced apples. On top of everything else, worst crop of apples I have ever seen there. GREED is the reason we will no longer be going there.
