Unfortunately they had only two servers, the Saturday day we visited, and we ended up leaving after waiting for 20 minutes without anyone coming to get us seated. Food looked good, so it was disappointing not to be able to try it.

My husband and I ordered just ordered takeout from this restaurant and received raw french fries and pulled pork that smelled like cheese. We never leave reviews, but when my husband called to try to get a refund, he was met with a defensive cook who didn’t want to hear it. Which seems to be a trend from reading some of the other reviews. We drove 40 minutes out of the way and spent $66 to throw it all out. A good business offers to find a solution, but that’s not what you get here. Lesson learned.

Genuinely this place is so amazing. The atmosphere is so warm and unique and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is super kind and when I made a mistake ordering they threw in a side of mac and cheese at no cost which was so nice of them.
The drinks were literally amazing. Strong and delicious. I had the drunken pumpkin spiced latte and tried a couple others and they were all delicious and strong. The food was also delicious.
Highly recommend this place. I live an hour away and I’d come back just for this place lol

What a cute place! Checked this place out for the first time since Moving here and wish we discovered it sooner! Food was good service was good and atmosphere was something out of a small town story! We can’t wait to come back!

On 9/1/25 at 5:30pm 5 of us decided to go out for dinner and decided to try this place which we had passed several times in the past. After checking the hours on their website which stated for today, Labor Day they where open until 8pm. To verify this we called to confirm the closing time of 8pm and asked to make reservations for 7pm and where told no reservation are needed. We drove 45mins to get there and upon getting out of the car in the parking lot at 6:50pm, 2 people where walking out the door complaining to us that they where closed. So we walk in and now we where told that they where closed. We said first it is not 7pm and that we also called and where told they close at 8pm of which their website states the same, but they did not want to hear it. So we just wasted 45 minutes driving there and now back, yet we still had to find another place to eat which would be open by the time we could get there and on Labor Day. Also, as we where leaving, 2 other cars pulling into the parking lot and am sure that they too where given the bad news. We will never go back to this place of which barely seems to do any business anyway that every time we pass it because there are hardly any cars ever in the parking lot. I can only assume that other people have also had problems with this place and probably why they get no business or it's just bad food or service. So I would not recommend ever going this place!

Double S Smokehouse has quickly become one of my favorite spots!! Great atmosphere and staff!!! And the food is incredible! 100% recommend! Drinks come in big mason jars!

Overall this was a wonderful experience. Food was good and portioned well. Drinks were good and servers were friendly. I would definitely recommend this establishment. They do appear to close somewhat early so be aware that their hours seem a little early for a restaurant. To each their own just be sure to check for hours of operation before making your trip there.

Hello and good Sunday afternoon My wife and I have been going to the SS restaurants for some time now. Never a bad meal never a sour disposition. Would emphatically would recommend this restaurant weather for a quick lunch or a dinner with friends. Ty Eric & laura for being great hosts!

Unfortunately, the meal itself didn’t live up to the vibe. My plate (the sampler of brisket, pulled pork, and ribs) arrived cold and dried out, as if it had been sitting for a while. My wife’s half chicken also had an odd taste, and we were both concerned the meat may not have been fresh. When we mentioned this to our server, she assured us everything was cooked the same day but it didn’t change our experience. She literally told us we were wrong and insisted the food was fine and said the meats don’t come out piping hot—which felt a bit dismissive rather than helpful. I feel like this place needs to be on a restaurant rescue tv show. With such a gorgeous atmosphere, this place has a lot of potential, but our meal and the way our concerns were handled left us disappointed. I hope they can turn things around because the location deserves a restaurant to match.
