One of the best meals we've had in a long time, very small restaurant only open on weekends but worth the planning.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this place, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from the start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect cozy charm. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with freshness and flavors. Highly recommended this place. ?????

Ok I was there years ago. The place was OK. Since then I tried going 3 other times.
During covid my wife and I were bike riding decided to stop and get lunch. We grabbed a table outside. The women would not serve us because we did not have a mask. I explained we would not go inside and did not have a mask with us during our ride.
2 other times we went there and they said we needed a reservation. Both times there were plenty of seats and it was just my wife and I.
All 3 times were spur of the moment just to try and check the place out. I have no problem spending my money elsewhere. This place is off my list.

This place is my favorite in this corner of Orange County. The owners are lovely and the food is always on point. Everytime we come, we feel like family and leave absolutely stuffed and with a smile on our faces.

My friends and I are always in search of Farm to Table meals when we go out to eat. On this particular Friday we were heading over to hike the Stair Way to Heaven… which for me was absolutely grueling at most parts and while the view at the top was majestic what made the hike worth it was the epic 3 course meal we all got to share together afterwards. The Grange was extremely accommodating with our party of 6. At first they couldn’t take us but just as I was calling another location they rang back and had rearranged things to fit us in. We were told we would have to do a prefix meal costing $65 for each person because of our parties size. Only one person had a complaint about that because “she doesn’t usually eat that much.” Once we got to the entrees she was drooling all over the place and saying that she’s so happy we had to do a prefix because everything was delicious. Between the six of us we ordered the entire menu and got to try a little bit of everyone plate, cause that’s how we roll. Each bite was transcendental. Scored by soft and soulful music that played from a record player in the background. I just freaking can’t wait to go back there and have my mind blown again. ORDER EVERYTHING!

We went to dinner on Saturday night and it was a Prix fix night of 3 course meals for $65 per person. The food was absolutely amazing with a great choice of wine bottles to go with. The owner was playing some fantastic records in the background.
Between the four of us, we had cod, duck, and steak and they were super delicious. We also tried all 4 desserts which are Chocolate lava, Apple crumble, Lemon meringue, and Crème brûlée. My favourites were apple crumble and Crème brûlée which was absolutely smooth and has a perfect sugar level.

We’ve been customers for years. Made sure to support them during the pandemic. Even though they are a bit annoying because they seem to want a medal for being local centric. My wife suggested to have our family go there to celebrate her 80th birthday. I made reservations. Was told that because we were over 6 people - everyone - even kids - were $65 - prix fixe.I agreed. Made the reservation. Called the family. Told the wife. The Grange called back. Cancelled our reservation. There was a bigger party coming in after us and we seemed to be in the way. They profess to treasure local purveyors- but they sure don’t care about local clients.. and the faint sorry - but not really sorry - reinforced the condescension. So if you want to eat and drink local. Go to Samaki and buy the fish yourself. Go to Drowned Lands or Rushin Duck and enjoy a snack and beer. All these places will make you feel welcome / and you’ll have a wider selection of great local products - divorced from unwarranted attitude. We went to another restaurant.I don’t know where they sourced their ingredients - but they seemed genuinely happy to have us over to celebrate our family milestone.I believe in celebrating and supporting neighbors- so it pains me when I have to castigate the folks at the Grange who have allowed their heads to grow too big for their faux hipster knit hats.Dear Jim.Thanks for answering. I know and appreciate the challenges of what you are trying to doAt the time we would have been eating in your restaurant-the projector in our little community cinemadecided to fail-in the middle of a packed screeningfor a local director.I couldn’t fix it - im not so smart -but i personally called the director- personally apologized- made sure she wascomfortable with arrangements to rescreen- and have been checking with the tech who’s fixing it every 30 minutes.Sometimes weburn the sauce too

The Grange has been delivering high quality, complex flavors and well-cooked dishes for many years. Literally backyard farm-to-table, this establishment has been working hard to deliver my favorite dining and flavor experience of all time. Intimate, cozy, affordable and superior than any of the fine dining establishments that I’ve been to in New York City. Appreciate the dynamic, ever-changing menu, the passion and love Chef Jim Haurey has taken to deliver an outstanding experience. I don’t know the guy personally, but based on his social media, the impression I get is a hard - working mad genius. The best duck I’ve ever had, right here. An amalgamation of flavors, yet each ingredient can still stand out on their own. That is an experience. The ingredients that dress the entree are as significant as the main itself! That’s love.

cozy space with a curated local menu. everything was excellent and the ambience is perfect for an intimate date night. i am gluten free and despite them not overtly advertising as gf, most of the menu options were already gf safe or modifiable. not to mention the prix fixe price point is unbeatable for the quality of the meal you will undoubtedly enjoy :)

Probably the best dining experience we had in a long time. Old rustic little place just over the Jersey border. The service and food were excellent. We had the Venison stew, risotto for apps and stripped bass for dinner. Every dish was well prepared and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.
