a cozy spot in a very big traffic Main Street for sure. The service was great, the waitress was very up on selling the menu and making sure if needed anything, even when group came in after me, I was still being helped. So for food, the salsa was fresh and delicious, definitely that loving hand homemade, the chips themselves were alright. So for the pollo a la diabla, the chicken could been bit more tender, for portion though got plenty of it, and thick cuts as well. The spicy sauce, I liked it in said doses, since it tasted more tangy than spicy and smoky at times. I think shrimp version of these would held up better. For the rice, I felt it was really under seasoned, but otherwise cooked great. For beans, very good and love cheese on top to add bit salty.

Really not that great.Unfortunately, we were highly disappointed with our visit to Amanda's Kitchen at 15 E. Main street in Washingtonville. The steak meat was tough as if not great of a cut or quality, and it also lacked flavor. The crema used was very light and did not compliment the items it went on. The corn was over boiled and tasted watery. The tacos had way too much cilantro on them.Overall, the food lacked flavor. For being an authentic Mexican food restaurant and not a Tex-Mex, there was a lot lacking that could be improved on with the food and it's flavor. The restaurant seemed a bit uncared for. There were flies everywhere because the door was kept open. Swatting flies while trying to eat is not something most want to do. The service was not bad, but it could have been much better. Everything took long to come, especially considering that at the time there were only two tables needing service.Unfortunately, I will not be revisiting. Taking ownership of where they lack, adding more flavor in the cooking, improving some of the ingredients, addressing some of the small things, and being a bit more hospitable would improve this place a lot.

Whenever I visit from San Francisco to Washingtonville, NY to see my family, I always stop by Amadas for breakfast and they never disappoint! They are such a favorite that my partner and I decided to hire them to cater a birthday parthy for our 1 year old in NY and we are so happy we did! Set up was on time and everything we needed was provided. Malena was fabulous! She had great communication and was so incredibly kind. The food was amazing and all our friends and family loved it. You really can't go wrong with Amadas. Our Menu: Chicken Fajitas, Pasta Primavera, French Fries and Chicken Nuggets, Pernil, Rice and Beans, and Veggies. Also salsas and ketchup

After reading reviews I was excited to try this place. A friend and I went and she was itching for a burger and we saw that the menu had both Mexican and American specialities. Perfect! We decided to split an order of chicken chilaquiles as an appetizer. She loved them, I thought the chicken (chopped) was just ok, sauce ok. She had her burger and did enjoy, I ordered chicken quesadillas and basically received onion quesadillas. There was a sprinkle of chicken and pepper in each piece but mostly there were onions. The salsa was a bit watery and all I could taste afterwards was garlic. The service was great as were the margaritas. Not sure I'd go again, but maybe just to try a non-chicken dish.
