Expect the unexpected here. And I mean that in a GOOD way. Chef Ari never does "usual." He's creative, talented and innovative. A perfect example is his Truffle Martini. I have never seen this anywhere else. It's fabulous! (Not heap, but a great celebration drink for special occasion!) He sears his foie gras to perfection. His Iberian Jamon is a delight. I won't even go into his beyond creamy and delightful homemade ice creams. This restaurant never fails to deliver a wonderful dining experience.

So delicious. This was my third visit to Bistro Ete. I've had excellent food and service each time. Highly recommend.

Whenever we are in the area we try to include dinner at Bistro Ete on the to-do list. Food is top notch all the way to the homemade ice cream, service is thoughtful and when we let them know of our food allergies with every food set on our table we are told that it does not have nuts.

Starters French onion soup bland, escargot great, salad ok Main fish special hake just ok, pork Milanese greasy and bad presentation, pasta bolognese was great. Also red cote du Rhône wine was cold! Ice creams good but one freezer burnt. Never even asked if we wanted coffees or after dinner cocktails. Friendly staff!

The escargot starter was fabulous and the main course of scallops on spinach was very tasty. We ate at the bar and the bartender could not have been nicer. All in, it was a very pleasurable evening!

This is a real find. The place is very cute and the owner is very attentive. The food was really great. Had the French onion soup and short rib papardelle. Perfect for a cold night. The drinks looked amazing. And homemade ice cream was delicious.

The basic green salad is fantastic. The basic grilled chicken and pastas are fantastic. We had the halibut special and it was fantastic. We ordered a pork shoulder dish and it was good—tasted more like venison than pork to me, but I guess that's my lack of knowledge of flavor of the shoulder. Highly recommend Ete. It's hard to find things done very well in the area restaurants, but the chef here is outstanding (and loves dogs).

We arrived 30 minutes earlier than our reservation, and the hostess was very kind, offering us a spot at the bar where we enjoyed a very well-prepared drink — there are several variations of Negroni to choose from. Our table was ready on time. The food was good overall: the fresh foie gras was delicious, and the steak was also enjoyable — perhaps not outstanding, but solid. The real problem, however — and a very significant one — was the waiting time. After finishing the small dishes we shared, it took around 40 minutes for the main course to arrive. When I asked the waiter about the delay, the answer was essentially, “you are right, but there's nothing I can do” (not those exact words, but certainly the idea). At a restaurant as prestigious and renowned as this one, such a reaction felt very disappointing. A more considerate approach — an apology, a friendly explanation, or even offering a glass of wine while waiting — would have made a big difference. Instead, the attitude conveyed a lack of concern. In the end, considering other the situation of other tables/guests, we left with the impression that the restaurant treats guests in different “classes”: the habitués and friends on one side, and everyone else on the other. Unfortunately, this episode tarnished what could have been a memorable visit.

Was not what I was expecting at first we got there like 15 mins early before our reservation had to wait weren't open yet. They were nice at first got seated brought our dog with us to try their doggie menu. We ordered drinks and I always look for a spicy drink so that's what I ordered on the menu it look like grease in a glass and so strong. So strong if u finished it u will already be tipsy. I told them I didn't like the drink to strong they said sorry you want different drink I said yes but, they left the glasses still on the table. Also didn't take it off the menu which is not right other places would take it off. We order our appetizer and it was not what I was expecting. The burrata we ordered didn't taste right and duck wings was good not great. The service was not what I was expecting from a French place especially for the prices paying for bad food and drinks. After we were done with the appetizer the plates were still on the table bees started to Hoover over the plates I had to move them to another table to get rid of them. Our dog who had a dog biscuit for appetizer and for dinner chicken wrapped with bacon and topped with truffles look better than what we were eating. Don't come here to eat the food or drinks so over priced and not good at all.

Dined here for the first time last night with high expectations and it didn't disappoint. Server was very thoughtful with her suggestions. Clams to start and halibut in champagne sauce with caviar were out of this world. Hands down the best meal we have had in the Hamptons this summer. We will definitely be back!

We have been many times in the past with our dog. She and we love Bistro Ete! But tonight Service was not sufficiently attentive.... Given we spent well over $200 per person. We expected a bit more attention!
