Beautiful scenery and decent wine- however staff was rude and it put a damper on our experience . The bartenders were nice and helpful, but the lady at the reception desk was unpleasant and condescending. Would not recommend, especially if you are going in a larger group. Staff made a point that they were bothered by them although all groups that I saw that day seemed to be tame, calm, and respectful.
Great atmosphere, good and reasonably priced wines. And they allow dogs!
Excellent wine, very pleasant staff!
We visited Duck Walk Vineyard on Saturday, June 28 to kick off my sister’s bachelorette weekend. Unfortunately, the experience at the Water Mill (Hamptons) location left a lot to be desired.
Half of our group accidentally went to the Southold location first, where we were kindly helped by Tara — she was warm, understanding, and assured us it would be no problem for the rest of our group to arrive a little late at the correct location. However, when we arrived at the Water Mill location, the woman assisting us (I believe her name was Elaine) was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. Rather than greeting us kindly or understanding the mix-up, she seemed visibly annoyed and treated our group poorly throughout the entire tasting.
We watched as other groups received friendly, relaxed service, while our experience felt cold and rushed. The man behind the counter seemed pleasant, just overwhelmed and busy, which is understandable — but the woman’s attitude was disappointing, especially for what we paid and the occasion we were celebrating.
The venue is beautiful and we were so excited to be there, but the lack of hospitality and respect really took away from what should have been a fun and memorable moment.
We just called to make a reservation and before we could ask our question the woman on the phone mocked us and told us to “get to the point”. Extremely rude. Obviously we did not make a reservation with them.
If you were looking for a low-key vineyard without the usual hoity-toity Hamptons crowd, this is your spot. I liked it better than the other fancier vineyards. We went to that were overpriced and felt uptight. This Vineyard had some of the best wines at the most affordable prices and lots of snacks to choose from or you can bring your own. They have tons of outdoor seating and we’ve even brought a game and hung out there all afternoon. It would also be a great one if you wanted to bring your kids. Very laid-back and the staff was lovely and knowledgeable!
The wine is amazing!!! But the staff leaves alot to be desired. First of all the woman at reception isn’t there to sell wine. She is there to collect a paycheck. When we came in she acted like we were bothering her even though we were 45 minutes before closing per the sign 1hr 45 minutes per google. She did not welcome us. She asked us what we wanted. We said a tasting. She said sure we can after looking at her watch. She said we had to pay for it first. The lady who poured our wine seemed bothered as well. She was nicer which isn’t much to say. After our tasting. Which btw the wine was delicious. We wanted to buy 4 bottles of wine. We went to the register and the grumpy lady said we couldn’t because she had already closed the register. How do you close a register for a business before it actually closes. This is how you lose money as a business. Find better staff because your wine is amazing but your staff ruins the all experience.
I love this place for spending a good time with my friends, enjoying wine, and sometimes they have live music. Their wines are really good.
If you’re heading out to the Hamptons, Duck Walk Vineyard is a great spot to stop and relax for a bit. The wine tasting is $16 for four pours, and they have a nice variety of reds, whites, and rosés to choose from.
They also offer charcuterie boards with cheese, crackers, olives, and spreads—good for snacking while you taste.
There’s plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas, and they usually have live music on the weekends. The atmosphere is really laid-back and easygoing. Whether you’re with friends, on a date, or just looking to unwind, it’s definitely worth a visit.
Had a great time visiting this winery as a part of a friend’s Bachelorette trip! The gentleman (I think his name was Mark) was so friendly and gave us great recommendations. Me and my friend both left with a bottle. Would def come again!!

Wine was good, but the experience was the worst, the old lady with the blond hair was so rude and she said that because we got an hour before closed we couldn’t do samples, wines and the place is cute but you need to improve your customer service a little bit
Delicious wines, beautiful views, nice staff, and unbeatable price
nice
casual
Finally went there, on list for quite some time. I do not regret visiting the place and to be honest it was the perfect setting on last sunday of year, had the place for ourselves for a little bit before many groups stopped by. I love the wine, specially the dessert ones that are sweet and strong. Maybe they could serve these a little colder. Nice space with sufficient seating. However id include more smaller tables and less large communal tables for a more intimate experience. I’d also strongly recommend owner to add a wood burning fireplace a well. I strongly recommend this place to all, not as bougie as other winery (show winery without real wine).
This my favorite place
