Single worst restaurant experience I've had in the area in ten years . Extremely poor service and the food was dry and of poor quality . The manager apologized, but ended up giving us a bill which included items ordered but not delivered. Have been big fans in the past of this establishment and was one of our favorite - which made this experience much more disappointing. It's clear that the servers were still trained - a shocking fact in light of the date - July 2nd- ahead of a busy weekend. Will not go back again.
PATRONS STAY AWAY!
We came here on a busy LDW night, on our way the staff thought it was a good idea to call when we were 5 minutes away about our reservation and say “ hey we want to close the kitchen early, if you’re not here by 10pm on the dot we will not let you order” keep in mind we had a 10pm with 15 minute grace period. Magically we arrived at 9:59 and quickly came in. Instantly asking for a manager due to the disgusting attitude by the host. The manager said and I quote “ I am too busy to talk to you sir, kitchens closed” and continued to giggle with his staff. Being an owner of multiple restaurants in NYC I would have fired this sort of staff member on the spot, which is what I recommend for the owners to do if they plan on operating in the Hamptons any longer. They lost permanent patrons and multiple VIP’s to all of there locations until a formal apology is made and the manager is fired. KEEP IN MIND at the time we were there our table for 7 was set & appetizers were coming out for the maximum 10 guests in the venue with a VERY DULL AMBIANCE. Very simply put this is absolutely unacceptable and had I not had Calissas manager on speed dial I would have a very embarrassing situation with my VIP’s. 4k was spent at Calissa on food and beverage amongst 7 guests. I’m sure that the bill at kissaki would have been significantly more. But the little boy and his manager wanted to go home early and treat guests as nobodies. Hopefully Gary can figure out how to remedy this!

This place is exceptionally good great vibe, but do yourself a favor don’t go on a Saturday when is a party. You won’t be able to enjoy the food and it’s something to be enjoyed. Wagyu fried rice is the way to go

I made a 10pm reservation for 7 people. We showed up at 9:59 and we were told that we could not sit because the kitchen was already closed and that we had to leave. I don’t know how this place is Michelin rated with this disgusting level of customer service. Disappointed to say the least. This business should really be careful treating people with this level of disrespect in the hamptons. You never know who could be apart of the reservation or who you are screwing over

Apparently, they had run out of propane for the outdoor heaters, an almost impossible feat on Long Island given every second shop sells it. Otherwise, tasty enough.

I don’t usually write a bad review but my experience was so terrible that I feel this restaurant deserve an honest review.
- Despite a reservation, we had to sit outside because of 2 large parties indoor. Fine but when we went in to use the bathroom, there were many seatings available.
- But then the bathroom was gross.
- Asked the server to turn on the heater repeatedly, they didn’t turn it on until 2 hours later. It was cold and windy outside. How windy? The wind knocked the tablecloth and spilled my soy sauce on the table. That’s how windy it was.
- What kind of sushi restaurant play clubbing music? It was loud and do not match the cuisine.
- This is the part that made me write this review: we were hungry, sitting in the cold, and spent 2.5 hours there but still not getting all of our orders (came at 7:10pm and left at 9:30pm hangry). Our food that came very slowly and not in order nor explained by the server.
- The sushi was made very sloppily and the food was not good. We had to cancel the rest of our order and asked for the bill after 2.5 hours. Despite this the bill was >$250 for 2 ppl. The restaurant didn’t offer any complimentary drinks while waiting and just said we’ll check with the kitchen.
- By 9:30pm, we weren’t the only tables cancelling order, asking where the food is, and asking for the bill. There were 2 other parties next to us doing that.
- Manager was nowhere to be seen to explain to the guests what’s going on.
Needless to say, we ended up ordering pizza somewhere else.
This restaurant is so poorly managed that I was angry for paying $250 on such a bad experience and wasted 2.5 hours being cold and hungry.

The service was horrible. We waited 20 minutes for the waitress to first come over and ask what kind of water we wanted even after asking the hostess for the waitress multiple times. My friend ordered a Diet Coke which did not come for another 20 minutes and only after he went in to ask for it. His food came 30 minutes later (just over an hour into the meal) and mine did not come for another 30 minutes after his. There were not too many people and we were only one of three tables outside so I am not sure why the service was so bad. The food was good though.
