Kissaki Sushi in Water Mill is always a great experience. The restaurant is clean and modern and the staff is friendly and attentive. The tuna avocado roll was incredible. It was fresh, smooth, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best things I have had there. I also tried the wagyu fried rice and it was just as impressive. The rice was perfectly cooked and the wagyu was tender and rich. It felt like comfort food but elevated. Every dish was beautifully plated and tasted just as good as it looked. This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat when I am in the area.

It was a terrible experience. The food was inedible, and the manger's attitude was shockingly poor. I can't imagine this place staying in business much longer.

Very slow resturant, waited an hour and half for a simple miso soup and sushi order to go.

Single worst restaurant experience I've had in the area in ten years . Extremely poor service and the food was dry and of poor quality . The manager apologized, but ended up giving us a bill which included items ordered but not delivered. Have been big fans in the past of this establishment and was one of our favorite - which made this experience much more disappointing. It's clear that the servers were still trained - a shocking fact in light of the date - July 2nd- ahead of a busy weekend. Will not go back again.

I am usually never one to leave reviews but I have to make an exception to vent.

Heard good things about Kissaki from the NYC locations so was excited to go here for dinner to celebrate my 30th birthday in the Hamptons and made a reservation for a party of 14. We showed up right on time with high hopes but the dining experience went all downhill from there. Clearly this place was short staffed with only one cook in the kitchen along with four waiters that were struggling to serve tables when the place was only less than 30% at capacity. I tried to empathize if there was a valid circumstance because it is off-season time but there was no excuse for this disorganized and unprepared service when we made the reservation two months in advance.

It took forever to place our orders foreshadowing the almost four long hours of our dinner from start to finish. I’ve never waited this long at a restaurant establishment ever let alone during a less than busy time. Nearly an hour in of waiting, waiters asked only a few of us who ordered the set course dinner if the cooked entree dish can served before the nigiri appetizer because “everyone else in the restaurant got sushi too so the cook was over capacity”. Not to mention the overpriced food was mediocre at best when it finally came out. The uni pasta tasted like straight butter doused in oil with no traces of uni. The sushi fish was subpar quality. Could tell the caviar on top of the nigiri was very fishy. One person in our party found hair on her fish. A few others noticed scales still on their fish pieces and a couple of us found long bones in the cod. We even waited almost another additional hour just for dessert. I am no professional chef by any means but I literally could’ve gone into the kitchen myself and used some elbow grease to help scoop freezer burned ice cream. And when it got time for the check, the bill was initially only comped for the six diet cokes we ordered along with the edamame and shishito peppers appetizers for the table which was served on the house to begin with due to the delayed wait. This dinner and the absurd service at this place was underwhelming. Do yourself a favor and do not come here at all. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

PATRONS STAY AWAY!
We came here on a busy LDW night, on our way the staff thought it was a good idea to call when we were 5 minutes away about our reservation and say “ hey we want to close the kitchen early, if you’re not here by 10pm on the dot we will not let you order” keep in mind we had a 10pm with 15 minute grace period. Magically we arrived at 9:59 and quickly came in. Instantly asking for a manager due to the disgusting attitude by the host. The manager said and I quote “ I am too busy to talk to you sir, kitchens closed” and continued to giggle with his staff. Being an owner of multiple restaurants in NYC I would have fired this sort of staff member on the spot, which is what I recommend for the owners to do if they plan on operating in the Hamptons any longer. They lost permanent patrons and multiple VIP’s to all of there locations until a formal apology is made and the manager is fired. KEEP IN MIND at the time we were there our table for 7 was set & appetizers were coming out for the maximum 10 guests in the venue with a VERY DULL AMBIANCE. Very simply put this is absolutely unacceptable and had I not had Calissas manager on speed dial I would have a very embarrassing situation with my VIP’s. 4k was spent at Calissa on food and beverage amongst 7 guests. I’m sure that the bill at kissaki would have been significantly more. But the little boy and his manager wanted to go home early and treat guests as nobodies. Hopefully Gary can figure out how to remedy this!

This place is exceptionally good great vibe, but do yourself a favor don’t go on a Saturday when is a party. You won’t be able to enjoy the food and it’s something to be enjoyed. Wagyu fried rice is the way to go

Parking: It’s right behind the Water-Mill post office.

I made a 10pm reservation for 7 people. We showed up at 9:59 and we were told that we could not sit because the kitchen was already closed and that we had to leave. I don’t know how this place is Michelin rated with this disgusting level of customer service. Disappointed to say the least. This business should really be careful treating people with this level of disrespect in the hamptons. You never know who could be apart of the reservation or who you are screwing over
