Wanted to go in and try it,,had heard good things about it,,what a mistake,,as soon as we opened the door there was a big table of rough looking locals,,more or less told us to get lost,,,management was no where in sight,,,more like a rough dive bar than anything else.

DO NOT ORDER THE SHRIMP AND SCALLOP BASKET!!!! $33.98 for 2 orders of burnt fried garbage!!!Order was wrong, order chicken not steak, they charge for substitute ( fries or tots, $2.49 you have been warned!!)

No music was playing, all TVs were playing but now sound. The cook, that I believe to be the owner, was yelling at the one server that was busting her butt to serve the bar and get food out. The cook needs to know that he can be heard by his customer. Too bad, I liked that place. I won't be going back.
I don't understand how you mess up nachos! Our food took so long and when it came out it was cold. HOW DO YOU MESS UP NACHOS??? I would have sent them back if A) it hadn't taken 45 minutes to get in the first place B) I could have seen the waitress again or C) I didn't want to just leave because the entire experience was horrible.Not only was my food cold, but the Ruben was burnt and the club bread wasn't even toasted. It was not busy. I don't understand and don't care to find out if it would happen again.

We stopped in while walking around Watkins Glen, based on some good online reviews. We came in just as they were opening. Our server, Tina, took excellent care of us. A nice comfortable old school dining room, TVs all around. Friday lunchtime, there were no games to watch. The food was excellent. I had the breaded Buffalo chicken sandwich, others had the fish and chips and the grilled chicken salad. All were excellent, especially the fish and chips (Friday only). Light, crisp tasty fish and great french fries. Highly recommended. (We joked about Blue Moon being garnished with an onion rather than an orange, hence the beer picture.)

On the one hand, it does have the nfl Sunday ticket, and I believe it to be the only place nearby that does. No sound from tvs though is their policy.We ordered standard bar food, including the vaunted (on Google) cheeseburger and wings. Ordered it medium rare, it was a hockey puck. Wings were dry. Onion rings were soggy. Everything was lukewarm; might have been good if we had gotten it fresh, but we'll never know, because the server didn't care at all that we hadn't touched our food and when we told her the problems she just said "ok" and brought our check. Drink selection is pretty bad; I'd never had a flat Corona before. She was nice, but this place clearly just doesn't care about being even baseline good.That said, if you want to watch the game and have a can of Old Milwaukee, this place is fine. Just eat beforehand and know what you're getting into.
