El Rancho Mexican Restaurant

We were attended to by our waitress quickly after being seated, and received water and drinks fairly quickly. After that 50 minutes go by no check in, no food. I try to order our own drinks at the bar, I wait 5-10 minutes before being told that the bartender had a lot of drinks to make and it’s going to be a while. Ok, meanwhile there are plenty of age folks milling around who might be able to make a drink? I go and sit back down my friends food comes out completely cold but looking burnt. My food has old chicken on it that is bland and seems cooked at a different time. We were given no cutlery. I had to ask the busy hostesses who were nice enough to grab us some. Waitress does not check in again, so I have to bother the hostess again for my check. She says she can’t get it for us. Fair enough. But that does finally prompt our waitress to be asked to bring us the check. The food gave me stomach cramps and pain for hours after dinner. It would be one thing if I wasn’t seated where I could the staff having moments to check in on us and they didn’t. I actually feel very sorry for the team here because for this much to go wrong the management is failing them.

Food was good, service was very slow. Had to wait a long time for our food. The server was very kind and friendly.

Waited 35 minutes for takeout after being told 15 minutes, only for them to realize my food was done the whole time I was waiting. Bad service, and paid 4 dollars street corn and got the smallest cup of corn you’ve ever seen

Service was HORRIBLE. It took almost 40 minutes to get our food. We had to go ask for napkins, hot sauce, more drinks and salsa. And the waitress was not very friendly.

Probably the worst food and service I’ve experienced in a long time. Why are you charging city prices if you can’t deliver city services? Awful

We have been coming here for four years when there is a track event at Watkins Glen. We love the food the margaritas and our server Morgan was excellent.

After reading reviews on El Rancho we have to say, IGNORE THEM. Could you end up waiting 30 to 40 min for a table when it's busy, Yes, cpuld it take 30mon for your food to come out, Yes. But this can happen anywhere, heck it happens at Texas roadhouse all the time and people don't complain, so don't come on here complaining and being negative when a small business has the same thing happens. The food is awesome 👌 if something comes out wrong just tell your server, remember it's fellow humans making your food, not perfect robots. Before you post your negative review, remember that you are effecting a small local business. Maby come back a second time, and see how that goes before posting your knee jerk pissed off review. We are locals that have been coming here since they were in their old location. It's our go to spot in town, if it was as horrible as some of these reviews make it out to be, us and all the other locals we see wouldn't come back here over and over.
