We sat outside bec night was so nice, the chairs and table were ok and the service was nice although a tiny bit slow. Otherwise, the salad was generous, the duck was fine but not the greatest, but I was happy w my swordfish although it lacked enough garnishings and the kale not cooked to my liking. The flourless chocolate cake was excellent. So overall, it was a fine experience, I'd recommend it, but not super fantastic.
Graft is amazing. The care put into the sourcing of the ingredients, the love you can taste in the food preparation, and the cherry on top that are the warm and knowledgable folks like Natalie and Fae at the front of the house....all World Class. You cannot go wrong with any item on the menu nor any suggestion of the local wines. I visit Watkins Glen only once a year and will move mountains to visit Graft each time.
Aside from the awesome cider, the staff are wonderful! I was there with my mother and they were very helpful. We left right before close and when we got to my car (which was parked across the street), it wouldn’t start. We tried to get AAA or the restaurant we parked in front of to help but no luck. Then as she was pulling patio chairs in for the night, one of the staff asked if we were ok. She offered to pull her car around and give us a jump. We were able to get it started!...
