Lakeside Resort & 3812 Bistro

Nice dinner. Food was tasty, service was pleasant and efficient. Hopefully you get to meet the resident Labrador Rocky!

I came across the bistro and resort in March 2022 to celebrate my husband's kidneyversary after receiving a transplant. The location is the reason we stopped. It is absolutely gorgeous no matter the time of year. We stayed for the first time in February 2025. It is dog friendly which is a big plus for my husband and I. The service is always wonderful, the food is great, the rooms are perfect, it's just all around a great experience. Highly recommend!

We liked everything. The location, the beautiful, clean, cozy room. Comfortable large beds and mattresses, pillows. Delicious breakfast and very friendly and welcoming staff. Nearby is Watkins Glen and many wineries, a wonderful brewery with a beautiful view of the lake and the opposite shore. We highly recommend this resort to everyone. You will not be disappointed and, like us, you will definitely want to come back here again.

We arrived for 6:00 reservation and when the waitress brought us over to our table and before we even sat down she said “just so you know, someone else has this table reserved for 7:30.” We were so taken back by the rude comment that we almost walked out. We were there with our mom who just turned 80 and was tired after a long day. She did not list the specials or was welcoming in any way. Avoid!!! Food was so so.

Second year in a row that we’ve come up with truck, Harley Davidson motorcycle in trailer, and our dog. We had a cabin this year, last year we booked last minute so we had the attached units next to the office, which were nicely renovated. Here are some photos of our unit. We have already booked for 2023.
Staff was amazing as well as the food at Bistro 3812.

August 2025, I hate to do this but I feel like people need to know. We stayed in cabin#35
again this year and every faucet that we turned on smelled like sulfur/rotten eggs. (Very strong) We contacted the front desk in regards to the smell, and we were told that it is normal when there is a drought due to the wells being low, that supply water to the property. The staff are all amazing however, it would’ve been nice to be given at least a warning or the option to cancel the entire reservation, before arriving because it engulfed the entire unit during our stay. It saddens me to say that our streak of staying there every year, will not be extended.

We stayed at a lakefront cabin. It was beautiful. They cut no corners when building these cabins. My partner, my dog, and I all enjoyed our vacation!!

Stayed for 2 nights with our pup & wished we could have stayed longer! Everything from the lakeside cabin to the food was Amazing! The staff was always super friendly & we just loved the whole set up of the grounds—It was also super dog friendly!! Another plus—it was Really close to downtown & the park. We would def stay again!

Very dog friendly! Great little hike to a baby gorge on the property. Room was very clean and reasonable. Restaurant staff and food was great. Will be back!!

Scallops were perfectly cooked and everything was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The menu choices are limited, but healthier than a lot of the area restaurants. I enjoyed the chili Lime fish tacos and he had the salmon, both were good. We had a small dog and they were very welcoming on the patio. Gorgeous view.

The food and setting are always fresh! It's our go to place for a relaxing dinner out, and to bring out of town visitors.

Food prepared right utilizing local ingredients where possible. Everything was cooked as ordered. The service was excellent it was a huge improvement from past years. We can't wait to go back again.

We stopped by the Bistro after a full day of hiking at Watkins Glen. It came highly recommended by some local residents who were on the trails as well. It was a stunning setting with a view of Lake Seneca while sitting out to dine on the back deck. My husband sampled a beer flight while I enjoyed a flight of bubbly drink varieties & they were all very tasty🍻🥂 Our waitress Brenna was delightful and so helpful with suggestions. We ended up sharing a Chicken Pesto flatbread that was divine and really hit the spot😋💜
