Nickel's Pit BBQ Watkins Glen

I recently dined at Nickel's Pit BBQ in Watkins Glen and had an incredible experience! I ordered the Chopped Brisket and Plate, and it was absolutely delicious. The brisket was tender and packed with flavor, and the mac salad was to die for—definitely one of the best I've ever had!

What truly stole the show, though, was the exceptional service. I left the restaurant and, two hours later, realized I had forgotten my purse. I was so worried about losing it, but Alisa, the manager, went above and beyond to help me. She ensured that my purse was returned safely to me, and I couldn't be more grateful for her kindness and dedication to customer service.

I highly recommend Nickel's Pit BBQ not only for their amazing food but also for their outstanding staff. Thank you, Alisa and team, for making my visit so memorable!

, excellent service, food is well prepared and fresh, fun places. it tends to get very busy, long wait times no reservations accepted get there early. Also no chicken on the winter menu.

I was there Oct18. The hostess was so kind and the bartender was very busy and didn't miss a beat. Great employees. The brisket and homemade baked beans are the best I've had so far.

We visited Watkins Glenn in early October 2024. On a recommendation we ate at Nickel's Pit BBQ. My wife and I both had the Classic Pulled Pork and it was WONDERFUL. Perfectly cooked. We both loved it. If you're in the area stop by and check it out!

I had a pulled pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw. My wife had a brisket sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. We shared an order of onion ring. The onion rings, brisket, and sweet potato fries were great. The pulled pork was good but didn't have the smoke flavor of the brisket. The coleslaw was also good. They don't sauce the sandwiches, which is a good thing. The house sauce is very sweet and the OG hot is very hot. I mixed the two to get something I would consider normal sauce. The service was excellent, the waitress was very nice and the food came out quickly.

Arrived at 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon with a small wait. Seems like they were understaffed with only 2 servers on the floor. We ordered the combo and was told they were out of the ribs.. no worries there they subbed the pig wings for us which we also wanted to try. Onion rings were huge and delicious but too much batter to my liking. Combo tray was sadly a disappointment. Maybe we went on an off day but everything was very dry. Brisket and pork were so dry and bland. Service was a little slower but everyone was nice and friendly.
