Simply the best. We've stayed at Seneca Lodge for the Annual Vintage event for over a decade. We've been very happy with them.

You don't stay here for the accomodations, you stay here for the history. The bar and restaurant are great and you'll have an amazing time. The rooms, well, don't expect much. Frozen in time from the 70's, the smell is dank, the toilets don't flush easily, and the bedspreads are effectively cardboard.

However, once you leave the room in the morning and take in the beauty around you, it makes it easier to deal with.

Rooms: Spartan with no amenities. Dank and iffy toilets.

Nearby activities: Of course you have Senica Lake and Watkins Glen International Raceway

Safety: What safety. You'll get jumped by a deer but that's about all.

Walkability: Nope

Food and drinks: Excellent

It's always fun to stay at the Seneca Lodge. The food is good, the staff is awesome and the rooms smell like 1930, damp and musty.

Nearby activities: Watkins Glen Raceway

Food and drinks: Excellent prime rib!

We didn't end up staying the night because the cabin smelled of mildew so bad that I knew we would be sick the next morning. They did not refund our money and probably then rented the cabin to another person that evening as they had no other cabins available.

Rooms are rustic, but this time we had a smell. I have been staying here 10 years minus 2 yrs but it might be time to do some upgrades and trash the carpets and refresh with some new furniture

Seneca Lodge feels like a blast from the past (in a very good way). The room we stayed in was a little dated, but comfy. Everything worked and the room was clean. I do wish they offered a mini fridge but we had a cooler and were at least able to keep drinks cool during our long-weekend stay.

Walkability: A short walk to Watkins Glen State Park

Food & drinks: On-site restaurant and bar that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Noteworthy details: Rustic charm with affordable albeit quaint rooms

Room was dated. No fridge in room. There is a restaurant on the premisses.

Rooms: Dated no fridge in room.

Nearby activities: Hike through the state park which is right across the street!

Food & drinks: The restaurant on the premises is a little pricy with a limited menu.
