Meal of the day is the way to go but the places looks very old inside a construction project.

Service was good, and sandwiches were good too but not enough tables. Only around 2 tables were available. Couple of parking spots were available.

Ordered tonight 12/26/2024 just for my partner to go get our food to find the doors locked and store closed at 6:30 ish won't order again and my mobile order best be able to be refunded after this compleatly unprofessional closed at 6:30 when not supposed to be closed
We drove into the parking lot and found the female employee vaping outside the front door. Then she went inside presumably to prepare our meal. We decided not to go in.

The the employees doesn't know how to treat the customers. I have frequented Subway restaurants multiple times at various locations and have never encountered such blatantly disrespectful and unprofessional behavior from an employee. As paying customers, we should never be treated in this manner. Basic courtesy and a willingness to serve patrons should be an absolute minimum expectation.

Ordered online bc I'm in pain today. Went to pick it up, arrived 2 min before it said my food would be ready. No to go order on shelf when I arrive, 1 staff mopping and 1 waiting on 2 customers. I wait to be noticed or spoken to, finally when the 2 customers are paying, the man mopping goes behind the counter and to the back. A third staff member comes out. It's now about 12 min since I arrived. I let her know I ordered online. She asks my name and says I have to wait for her to look it up on the register. She prints out a ticket and tells the other staff, who had been mopping, to make my food. They imply to eachother that someone else took my food. When he is done, as he hands it to me, he tells me I should have ordered a different way to save money. Like, no we're sorry. Nothing. Legit asks me TWICE why I didn't order a different way to save money. I almost completely burst into tears from standing there for almost 20 minutes in severe pain to begin with. I live so close and will absolutely NEVER go back. Beyond rude.

Approached Subway last night 7/3/24 at 8:40pm. Sign was already turned off for closing. The lady looked thru the windows as we approached and shook her head. My Husband and I walked in. She had an attitude as soon as she seen us. Told us she closed at 9pm and we would be last customers. Okay that's fine. She continued to talk and waste time with the couple she was talking too. Finished with them around 9:50. Started waiting on the young man. Put his stuff in the oven. Then asked me how many. I said 1 6" on wheat, 1 6" on white and 2 footlongs on white. She said oh yeah I'm not going to have time before 9pm. She said I have been here since 7am by myself. She threw the sub rolls back inside the bread hold and said I'm not doing it. My Husband said excuse me. She said I won't have time to make them by 9pm. He said you close at 9pm. You don't stop waiting on customers that are already here in the store before 9pm. She said I'm really tired and I have been here all day by myself and I can't. He said your in an AC building making subs. Try working outside in the hot heat for 16hrs and then complain. I told her she was very disrespectful and I would be turning her in and she didn't care. Worst customer service ever in my life!!! Will not be returning to the Watkins Glen Subway as long as she works there and I spend good money every week for a family of 6!!

Horrible service. There were 8 people in line. The current customer ordered multiple sandwiches. Lori went in the back and stayed back there. The other younger lady work very slow. After getting done with current customer she also disappeared doing who knows what. In the meantime the line grew longer. Lori looked, saw the line and didn’t come to help. The younger lady came back, offered no apologies and started on next customer. Lori came out and began working on the next customer not carrying at all. It took about 30 minutes total. Never again will I return.

We were new and hiked near this town. We decided to dine in, found this subway nearby, checked the hours (open till 9 pm) and walked in around 7:45 pm, took a table and ordered 3 footling veg sandwiches and a bag of chips. Only 2 breads were available but we chose among what’s available. No issues so far.
At the time of billing (around 8 pm), the lady says we have to take and leave. Why? She says lobby closes at 8 pm. But store hours says 9 pm, there is no notice of 8 pm closure. She says they don’t have to put a notice. If she had notified us at the time of ordering, we could have decided. We may not have bought there. She suggests we go to some park nearby and eat. I told her this is NOT fair that she doesn’t notify us at the time of ordering and now throw us out. Could she make an exception and we will make it quick?. She refused. When I asked to consider given we never got notice, she abruptly left inside. We didn’t even give us bags. My wife called angain requesting bags. She came in, gave 2 bags quickly and went back inside.
I hope subway can clarify if such a policy of forcing customers to disallow dine-in even exists and is fair in this context (we walked before 8 pm, store hours is till 9 pm and no notice of dine-in closure, no verbal update even. I also hope this has nothing to do with customer demography. I am just a traveler in this part of the country.

I recently visited this Subway location and had a mediocre experience. The place was clearly understaffed, as it took 30 minutes to get my order. To make matters worse, the staff members weren't wearing hair or beard nets, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and sanitation.
The owner needs to take immediate action to hire more workers and ensure the establishment is kept clean. The current workers are visibly overworked, and it affects the overall service quality. Proper staffing and maintaining hygiene standards are crucial for a pleasant dining experience.
