The absolute best place for pizza on the island. Try their old fashioned slice. They make it just like you get it from Sicily. The breadcrumbs sautéed onions. The sauce and dough is delicious!!!!!

10/10!! We ordered catering for pick up and it was a hit. We did the penne vodka, chicken parm, salad and garlic knots. It’s meant for 8-10 people and with 5 of us more than half was gone. Very fresh and great taste. Highly recommend!

If you’re craving an Italian dining experience that transports you straight to the heart of your Nonna’s kitchen, look no further than Cafe Gio in the Lidl Shopping Center, West Babylon, NY! From the moment we stepped into this unassuming gem tucked off Sunrise Highway, we were enveloped in an atmosphere that exuded authenticity, warmth, and culinary passion. This is not “just a meal”—it’s a direct love letter to true Italian cuisine (and I’m still swooning over every bite). Let’s start with the menu (!), a veritable symphony of Italian classics and innovative dishes that could satisfy even the most discerning appetite. The selection is vast, offering everything from Neapolitan and artisan pizzas to seafood, pastas, and entrees that make you feel like you’re dining in a rustic trattoria in Italy. The diversity is staggering, yet every dish feels crafted with precision and heart. We were a party of five, each with our own cravings, and Cafe Gio delivered beyond our wildest expectations! First up, the Roma Chicken. Oh, where do I begin? This dish was a revelation—tender chicken breast sautéed to perfection, crowned with spinach, melted mozzarella, and bathed in a delicate light pink brandy sauce. Next, the Chicken Parmigiana. This is not your run-of-the-mill parm. The chicken cutlet was impeccably crispy yet juicy, blanketed in a vibrant, house-made tomato sauce that had just the right balance of tang and sweetness. Topped with a generous layer of bubbling mozzarella, it was served with a side of perfectly al dente pasta. This dish alone is worth the trip to West Babylon—it’s comfort food elevated to an art form. The Shrimp Parmigiana was another showstopper. Golden-fried shrimp, plump and succulent, were nestled under that same glorious tomato sauce and mozzarella. Paired with a side of linguine, it was a plate of pure indulgence. And then, the Chicken Francese. This dish was a masterclass in elegance. The chicken, lightly battered and sautéed in a lemony white wine sauce, was bright, zesty, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Now, let’s talk about Jill, our server, who was nothing short of a superstar. She was the epitome of salt-of-the-earth—warm, genuine, and attentive without ever being overbearing. Jill’s infectious enthusiasm for the menu made us feel like we were dining at her own table. She checked in just enough to ensure our glasses were filled and our needs were met, all while sharing a smile that made the experience feel personal and heartfelt. Her knowledge of the menu was spot-on, and her recommendations were pure gold. Jill is the kind of server who turns a great meal into an unforgettable experience. The ambiance at Cafe Gio strikes a perfect balance between casual and inviting. Located in a strip mall, you might not expect the cozy, family-owned vibe that greets you inside. The dining room is spacious yet intimate, with a clean, welcoming aesthetic that makes it ideal for everything from a quick lunch to a celebratory dinner. Once you enter the door, prepare for the magic to unfold. Buon appetito!

Went to the restaurant on a Friday early evening. First of all the service was very poor. The waitress obviously has no clue on how to be a waitress. The clams was so tiny that there was nothing to eat. The veal was very tough and dry and the cappuccino all she gave me was foam. There was no coffee .As for the tomato sauce on this spaghetti there was no flavor. Nothing just blah I wouldn't waste my time or money at this place .

Cafe Gio’s is one of our favorite spots for lunch! I bring my family here regularly and every time we walk in we’re greeted with such warmth and friendliness. The staff always makes us feel welcome, and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxed. The food is fresh and delicious, and you can tell they put care into everything they do. It’s not just a meal, it’s always a good time when we come here. Highly recommend Cafe Gio’s if you’re looking for great food and even better people!

I always go here its local. The food is always good, The pasta dishes are great, and the Pizza is just, a typical high quality Long Island pizza. I was away and moved back to long island after 15 years, and when I tasted Cafe Gio, I knew I was home. Thank you for staying and not bieng one of the businesses that went under during Covid or whatever.
