My friend and I just ate at 88 Burger I. W.Babylon. We were hungry and the $9.99 burger deal sounded great. Well it was really great, beyond my expectations. The place was beautiful inside. Very clean and very spacious. Our waitress Mindy was sweet and helpful. She even has a cool robot helper! A first for me. My grandkids would love it. The burgers were huge annd delicious and cooked perfectly. The fries and onion rings also were delicious. I highly highly recommend this restaurant. An excellent value too. Enjoy!

The decor is eclectic/rainforest/club. It's actually kind of cool but the cowboy pictures didn't really fit the aesthetic. The robot was pretty cool but the only complaint I have about that is that the music it plays when it comes to your table It's so loud that it overtakes the environment around it.
In terms of food, it was okay. The wagyu steak was okay but it came out cold. The lobster was not good at all. It was overcooked, smelled a little fishy and rubbery (probably frozen). The sauce that they put on it made it very salty. The mashed potatoes were very dense - like spackle- and flavorless even though they had butter and bacon on them. It would have been nice if they were more fluffy and creamy with just a pinch of garlic, paprika, pepper/salt. The creamed spinach was good but it was very runny. In terms of portion size for both sides, I definitely don't think it was worth it because they were very small. The sushi was pretty good though. The ramen was good other than the fact that it was regular spaghetti and not ramen noodle. And there were no complaints over the salmon dish.
In terms of service, our waitress was completely clueless. She was not exactly the best. Things were constantly forgotten off of our table (plates, silverware etc). My placement was set vertical instead of horizontal as all the others were set horizontal. When asking the waitress about things on the menu she really was not very knowledgeable. There were a few things on the menu that we wanted to try but they didn't have which was a bit upsetting.
They did not have a very big selection in coffee. Matter of fact all they had was decaf. No cappuccinos. No espressos. Nothing.
My dessert (tiramisu) was still frozen when it got to the table and they were out of regular coffee. The dessert section is very basic and a bit underwhelming. I was curious to try the mochi but I also am very selective with my mochi and didn't want to risk it being freezer burnt. I think next time I'll try it though.
The only reason I would go back is for the wagyu. And even then it didn't really blow me away.

I’ve never had a steak sandwich come on plain white bread like the type you use for PB&J sandwiches. By the time it got to me, it was very soggy. I thought it would be on a roll. The steak was very bland and not cooked to the right temperature. Also, the truffle fries are just regular fries with parsley on them.

Just had a quick lunch here (August 2024). I had the $10 half-pound burger special with mashed potatoes (for a small additional cost) and a Thai iced tea. Although the place was empty when I walked in (Hurricane Debby was just entering the area), I needn't have worried - the food was great! As was the tea - there's not many places in this area where you can get this - but this one was very good. And the angus burger did taste very upscale. If I had any complaints at all, it would be that the mashed potatoes could have used a bit more salt.
