This place is amazing, don't let the name deter you away. I came here on a date night and thought the dog bar? I am a vegetarian and ordered the french onion soup and the vegetarian pasta with butter sauce. It was the best meal I have ever had. My date had the french onion soup and a filet mignon. He also said it was the best he has ever had. We will definitely be coming here again!

This place sucked so bad after 30 minutes my whole family and I had to walk right out the door!! No service not bad service NO SERVICE!! Apparently our reservation in the dog pound literally must have ment we were in the dog pound for wanting to support a local establishment l. Never agian!

Took wifey here for date night. Atmosphere: Rustic and historic. There's quite a bit of history behind the building, and they display a lot of it around the establishment. Very cool...IMO. Service: attentive and friendly. Everyone was accommodating and very polite. Food: Great. I had the Australian lobster tail and the Ribeye. My wife had the scallops and shrimp. Everything was well done and flavorful. The lobster tail was sweet, steak was very tender, and her scallops were flavorful and cooked wonderfully. Plus, you get a soup and salad with your entrée. The salad was unimpressive, but the soups we had(vegetable beef and chowder) were likewise, great. I wouldn't give them less of a rating for the salad, though. Definitely try it out if you're in the area! You'll need to make reservations.

My husband and I went to the Dog Bar last Thursday. The person who returned my call for a reservation gave us a very nice table - I had wanted a quiet table for two. The waitress, Anne (I think I got the name right), was fantastic with a nice personality. She answered any questions about the menu perfectly and her timing with the courses was spot-on. The steaks were cooked as requested. The atmosphere was nice and cozy and there were so many interesting things to read and look at on the walls that if conversation isn't your thing, you could amuse yourself by looking around. All-in-all, we had a really nice time and we both enjoyed our meals. Thank you to the friendly staff and good chefs at the Dog Bar!

I went here for the first time and was blown away by the experience. This is an old school, quaint fine dining restaurant that is tucked away in the foothills of West Falls, NY. Had a great steak, the sides were awesome, and the server was excellent. Highly recommend a trip out there.

I enjoyed myself immensely as far as the atmosphere goes! I love dogs. I met my family for a pre-christmas dinner. It was dimly lit, warm and inviting, and the service was fabulous! We waited two and a half hours for our food though. Which is truly insane. My meal was just okay. I think most of the party agreed that the food was just that. Okay. Overall, I think the wait was more than it should have been. Especially for what is included on the actual meal. I get that things are cooked to order. But, almost three hours is absolutely crazy.
Step back in time. Throw the clock out the window. Best Surf and Turf value and quality in WNY period. One of my favorite places to dine!
