We had a fantastic time at the West Kill Brewery! Great brews, live music, a lobster food truck and the most beautiful scenery. It was one of the best days of our vacation. We're planning another trip and going to check out Kingston.
It's a cozy and authentic feeling place. The beer was pretty good and I appreciate that they had a bunch of local snacks as well. They have a fire pit outside and some tables in a porch area with a heater, but I think it's the most cozy inside with the exposed beams and the stone fireplace.
This place was such a gem. Such a beautiful location with wonderful beer. They had live music on a beautiful peak fall day, and couldn't have beat the vibes.
Great beer and some awesome views. They usually have a schedule of food trucks/events.
Pretty cool place out in the woods. The beer was pretty good and they had a band. Parking is all on a hill and with a motorcycle that was a problem because there was a lot of rain washed out areas so you must be careful it's fine in a car bought some flatter parking would be nice.
Great beers, views, vibes, and music! Northern Ramble was playing when we were there today and I hope they come back! One star off because there was an awful sewage smell that kept coming and going throughout the 4 hours we were there. It didn't matter where we moved our seats we still smelled it. I really hope they're able to fix it asap because other than that it was a great experience!
Incredible spot. Already planning our next visit back in the fall…
Love this place. Very nice folks, views and Beer.
Added some flies to the Give or take a fly, bread n butter Iso's and the wife gave up one of her coveted Hornburg dry flys
If the weather is decent, the scenery and vibe is well worth the trip. Beer is solid.
The beer, the people, the scenery.... ALL!!!

If you are in the area, you must stop by here!
The place is beautifully designed with the spirit for the outdoors. The main space to purchase beverages and snacks is spacious, the staff is nice and knowledgeable and the views…incredible. If you are in the area and want to spend some time winding down with a big or small group, this is the place!
Only note: look out for their sign on the highway. You need to turn up, into the road and once you go up, you’ll see them.
Awesome time!
What a cool brewery in the middle of nowhere! Open Fri-Sun. Well. Other than Memorial Day Sunday and Monday, which was when I was here. There was a stage with 2 all-girl bands playing rock music (Tom Prettys lol)! Beers were also way above average here. My favorite was the Moonfarmer and Falcons Prey because I seem to only like IPAs. I did try the Brookie lager, all “hooked up” with old bay rim salt (meh to the extra). Oyster days oyster stout was good too. But not my favorite. Bc it’s not an IPA probably. Food truck has tacos and fries and brownies. Left my brand new Cards Against Humanity game here and was able to get it back the next day. Perfect excuse for one last draft with a view of trees and mountains.
Unfortunately, this place has really gone downhill ever since they opened the Kingston location. We used to go here every weekend of the summer and enjoy the food, beers and views.
The beer is still good and the picturesque location is to die for.
The downfalls:
- They used to have food trucks (the variety was nice), but about 18 months ago they built their own food trailer. It has been close to a flop. The food variety is subpar and they RUN OUT of food hours before closing. Want to eat something at 4:00 - good luck! When the food trucks would run out of food, it was easy to cut them slack and chalk it up to inexperience with the crowds. However, there is no excuse for West Kill, this isn’t their first rodeo.
- Even in the summer, there is limited seating (the winter is brutal).
- Lines for beer are long.
Would love to see some changes made. They could easily order more supplies for the food trailer (especially on holiday weekends), add more seating, and staff up. Would love to see them turn things around, but for now left with a bad taste in our mouth.
I think Jeana C has an axe to grind with her 7 reviews.
I just left the brewery this evening. The place is excellent. Servers were excellent. Food excellent. Band excellent. I will be back.
