I’ve been to pretty much every Mexican restaurant in the south towns and I can say with confidence that Don Juan is my favorite. The food is consistently a step above what I’ve had everywhere else. I’ve gotten take out here several times but never dined in, so I can’t offer much of an opinion on the service, but everyone I’ve dealt with during the take out process has been helpful and very friendly. Thanks Don Juan crew and keep up the great work.
Got sick...ordered their summer plate. So greasy....After a few bites my stomach began to feel queasy. Told waitress and she just smiled and told me to reheat in oven at home...seriously? Should have taken a picture, it even looked bad. That should've been my first clue. On my way home, I began to realize I was going to be sick and just made it home. The next day was round two as I couldn't be far from the bathroom with stomach and intestinal pain. Ruined my day, couldn't go to a 50th anniversary celebration because of this!!

I read some of the management's response to previous reviews. So before I get accused of not reporting ... I did.
The original wait staff never came back to ask how the meal was. We had to get someone else. No remedy was offered.
Observations of service was that none of the tables got their meals together. Just like ours. One plate delivered while I waited several minutes,( at least 5) for the other.
The sad thing is it was once my favorite Mexican restaurant.

Reasonable prices. Great food. Huge portions. Very attentive and friendly staff. Try Don Juans. You will not be disappointed. Oh, and you will need a doggy bag.

DON'T. JUST DON'T. Took my family here for dinner on a Saturday. We ordered the Don Juan Sampler Patter. The shredded chicken was old and dry. We substituted for steak in the burritos. The steak was bad- old with an off taste. Everything was covered in a salsa, that could've been Ragu. Wrong taste profile for Mexican food. In general nothing we ordered tasted great. Would've have sent the food back to the kitchen but it took 40 minutes for us to get inedible food. The little I ate made me sick. First set of plates brought to us were dirty. Even the Pepsi tasted off. Pictures show how much we left behind. "No thanks, we don't need takeout containers."JUST DON'T.

The portions. No really, the portions are MASSIVE and the food is so good. Definitely plenty for 2 people to split one entree! All in all, the food and drinks are fantastic and the workers are all welcoming.

I feel compelled to warn you, this restaurant is a terrible waste of time and money. The servers all seemed generally unhappy. They didn't take the empty chips and salsa dishes. Plates were dirty. The chicken, steak, and beef were all quite flavorless. The beans came with the dried out film of food that sat too long. The rice was likewise, dried out and old. We ordered the sampler and it came covered in a sauce that was likely tomato based, like chef boyardee. We tasted everything and left most of it behind. It was bad. So so bad.
