The people who work there have made meat - their career. They are knowledgeable, helpful, skilled & professional. The service world is changing - but not at Federal Meats. And honestly, prices are right in the same range as most retail grocery stores. It’s my preferred place to shop for all of my fresh cut chops, steaks, and premade steak burgers. Even their frozen chicken fingers and shrimp are a deal when they are on a B1/G1 sale.
We always get the stuff banana peppers, the cheese and stuffing are usually 8-9 out of 10. However the seafood stuffed banana peppers are very disappointing. 2-3 out of 10. There is barely any seafood and the stuffing mixture is flavorless with a slight vinegar aftertaste. Very disappointing, hopefully they improve the recipe.
I shop here every week. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the quality is superb. We are empty nesters so it is nice to be able to buy in smaller quantities. They will freezer wrap, too. Price per lb is a bit higher than the grocery store, but quality is better and I can buy just what I need without waste.
