What a cool place! As a visitor to Buffalo, this is the kind of place that makes it easy to romanticize the city. A holdover from another era, probably very much like it was when it opened, and still feeding people and making them happy.
It's a hot dog place, keep that in mind, but they're good hot dogs and the staff will make you feel special.

The best texas hots in Buffalo are at Louie's. A little pricey for them, but they are good! Staff aren't friendly... too bad. Cooks and owner will look at you from just a few feet away, not say hello nor smile. They act like you owe them for being there. They do not appear appreciative of customers. Recommended for food.

Went in yesterday and wondered wth happened to this place. The employees acted oblivious to the fact their conversations are heard by the customers or they just don't care. I don't want to hear how a waitress almost knocked out another woman the night before. The older waitresses should have known better and told her to continue when customers weren't around but they encouraged her to continue the conversation. It wouldn't be that big of a problem, but maybe include under the tables in side work because the filth I saw standing there while she sat down and told her story was disgusting. Now to the food. I've never smelled a more disgusting Texas sauce. It smelled rancid and I can't believe they'd serve it. This was Sunday aug 11. I used to love this place, but it's hit a wall and needs fresh management if the owners have lost their passion.

Very nice people work here, I just got 3 Texas Hots (breaking my diet) and they were pretty good. Like everywhere, the prices are much higher than before my dieting days, but what are you gonna do? I may adjust my points higher if I come back and try some more food.
