I've been a regular customer for years and the food has always been consistently good. Over the years they have always remembered me and the friends that I have brought in. They're very nice people.If there is a problem with this business, beyond being a little dated (which is easy to overlook), is the lack of a manager that would oversee the service and dining room issues.The owner is the cook, which explains the good food, but the inconsistent service, dirty tables and other service issues that others have complained about could be easily fixed if someone in authority was watching. Lack of management is their Achilles heal.(That, and a tiny $6 side salad which we were told was the same size as their garden salad which baffled one member of our party. They spent $17 on a cup of soup and a tiny salad. I was embarrassed for them because they couldn't explain the difference between the two salads on their menu. A manager could have fixed that - but I digress.)
We enjoyed chili, salad, homemade peanut butter pie, and fresh coffee served with a smile.

Over the weekend we met up with friends at Calarco's for dinner. Everyone at our table loved our meals. The bread was incredible, delicious homemade dressing, coleslaw... we loved it all!!

This was our 3rd time dining here and the food has been amazing! I had the Pasta Alfredo and the chicken that was on top was huge and delicious! We did need refills and would have liked more bread but were not offered any. Other than that our experience was a 5 star!

I wish we could rate Calarco’s more than 5 stars! When we arrived one of the owners came out to let us know we could sit on the restaurant side. It was quiet and the perfect kind of setting we needed after a long day of travel! The food was excellent. This is a family style restaurant that has been operated by the same family for 90+ years. The owners were kind, welcoming and all smiles. We’d love a chance to come by again!

We were in Westeren New York for the day, antique shopping. Using Google Maps, we found this little Italian restaurant with some history to it, noted by the images on the wall and dated dacor. The steward was nice and suggested having their sauce with our meals. The sides came out quickly with salad and fresh dinner rolls, which were hot and steamy. But this is where things went south very fast. The almost twenty-five minute wait between our sides and the parmesan was tremendous; with little patrons to show for it. Thinking of the history in this establishment allowed us to then enjoy their family gravy with our meals.

The Italian platter and lasagna dinners were very good. The side salad was fresh and had a nice variety of vegetables. They had a large number of customers on a Sunday night and ran out of ready to serve bread. The kitchen baked some fresh loaves and they were crispy and delicious, perfect for soaking up some of the pasta sauce.Parking: The parking is in a lot across the street.

I love an old town style Italian joint. I've been coming here for close to 20 years and the decor hasn't changed (for the better). I really love the friendly atmosphere of Calarco's and the food really matches up to the staff. I went recently with friends from out of town and we were extremely satisfied by both the portion size and the flavor of our entrees. I highly recommend the lasagna, but the veal cutlet is also incredible.
