Great atmosphere. There’s just something off about the whole place. The sushi was decent but not anything that I’d recommend over Sushi 1 or Kotobuki in Hauppauge. The limited seating and the ability to just hang with my fellow diners is what makes the place great. I wish the sushi was amazing. One of the service people told my party that the sushi chef had worked many Michelin rated restaurants and when my friend asked which restaurants, there was no response. That raises questions as well. Weird, great couple of hours with friends.

This is a fabulous fun experience for sushi lovers. A 90 minute omakase experience at an 8 seat counter with a private chef. The hosts and hostesses were great, fun and attentive. The sushi was top notch, well prepared, presented and delicious. The experience is not inexpensive, but typical for omakase dinners. I plan to collect 8 sushi loving friends and book the entire place as soon as I can.

The wait staff is nice and relatively attentive but the meal itself is a rip off. The pieces are minuscule, probably 1/2 to 1/3 the size of a “normal” piece of sushi. The quality of the fish is fine, comparable to any run of the mill omakase spot in NYC. The sushi chef is unfriendly and looked extremely annoyed to even be there. This is an easy money grab for the owners, taking advantage of the fact there are no omakase options in the area. Skip this place.

If you're familiar with Sushi by Bou, this location is billed as an “extended experience” with 17 pieces. Unfortunately, the pieces are less than 1/2 the size of a normal Omakase piece so you're barely getting the equivalent of 8 pieces, if that. The entrance had multiple signs stating “not habitable” dated within 5 days so that was our first impression. The chef looked unhappy to be there and didn't smile once. The decor is TJ Max. The staff was very nice, but at a significantly higher price than any other Bou experience, this left us very unsatisfied. The desert was a cheesecake with a paper fork, that they unpackaged from boxes right in front of us. It was clear that it was just an after thought. There was no opportunity to order extra pieces at the end. We wound up getting a whole meal after elsewhere because we left feeling as though we barely had an appetizer. So many small (and big) misses here. Not worth the price. I probably wouldn't even recommend if it was $80/pp

Social media hype made me do it! If you truly appreciate an authentic Omakase experience I would sit this one out. This is a Hampton pop-up money grab. Food- Fish was pre-cut and sliced half the size of what you would expect. I wouldn't say it wasn't fresh, however being pre-cut before service did affect the texture. Decor and Ambience- They have 8 seats in what I thought was a tongue and cheek beach decor from the photos, but it's overwhelming and cluttered and lacked refinement. The vibe was distracting, I think the staff wanted to create a fun environment but it fell flat. They were talking loudly to each other, in and out of the suite, and trying to make small talk that had nothing to do with the experience. Because of this I could barely hear the chef and interact, which is the whole point of sitting at the counter. Overall: If you're a sushi OG save your money! You know price doesn't always dictate value and quality and this speakeasy Omakase pop-up concept feels a little gimmicky and transactional. I had to write this review because I felt cheated out of my $500!!

The sushi was great. Excellent fish and preparation. Chef Honcho was fantastic, truly. The service left one wanting. With only eight diners I was surprised to have my drink & water sit empty. It was also strange to see the staff drinking full cups of the same Sake I was purchasing throughout the meal. As we finished the service (eating desert and finishing our drinks) I was surprised to see the staff start trying to prepare their own sushi and eating leftovers at the counter. I know it was the last service, and having worked in the industry I get it. But, it would have been better to wait 10 minutes for folks to leave and maintain the quality of the experience. It is not the staffs fault. Bu, this was not what I expect at an Omakase dining experience.

listen, I’m not saying that there is a secret sushi restaurant above Sydney’s gourmet. All I AM saying is: I may have been to a place recently in town that reminded me of sushi experiences I have had in Japan But there was a flight of Sake involved and, well, it was rather late in the evening so who can really say for sure?

The Omakase was absolutely fantastic. Such a welcome addition to the restaurant scene in WHB!!! I live in NYC and eat a lot of sushi. I can honestly say the food was superb. SO FRESH! Honcho, the sushi chef did an awesome job. The staff was warm and friendly. Very small and intimate. Seating for 10..would be great to buy out the place with friends...Last night there were 5 couples who did not know each other, but it was fun to all chat with the others...cant wait to go again!

what an amazing experience- sushi by bou is always a good call, so we were intrigued by this pop up. high quality omakase, a fun vibe in a hidden speakeasy, and fair pricing. the proprietor is also very chill. highly recommend.

My husband and I loved our dinner here last week. He'd been at a famous sushi restaurant earlier in the week and he preferred his meal at Sushi Suite. It was very fun and the staff was a pleasure. We've already made another reservation. Thank you
