I’ve been coming here since I was 10 years old, 24 years to be exact now, place gets better and better. Very home feel to the shop. A real staple in the community. Lovely family. If you want quality Italian food in Queens/NYC this is where you come to.

Tony's Deli in Whitestone is an absolute gem! They treat everyone like family. The food is always delicious, and their fresh mozzarella is out of this world. Their breakfast sandwiches are perfectly made, and the espresso is top-notch -- smooth, strong, and just what you need to start the day. Everything tastes homemade and full of flavor. sandwiches stacked heavy, fresh mozzarella that tastes like sunday dinner, and hot heroes wrapped like treasure. prices are fair, portions are bold, and the vibe is old school queens italian, the kind of spot where you half expect a guy named salvatore to hand you your sandwich and tell you to forget about it. your blood pressure and cholesterol go up the second you walk in and it’s great.

Stopped by on our way home from Long Island and our group of four was not disappointed. We were all greeted by friendly employees ready to help. We all picked out different sandwiches for lunch, I had a grilled chicken and eggplant sandwich. Husband had a prosciutto panini, other couple shared a hero with Sunday gravy in the name I believe. Everyone was extremely satisfied and we brought back home more goodies to share with family. Wished we lived closer!

Best Italian deli in NY hands down. End of story, no discussion. Get the Tonys special, get a panini, get the home cooked plates (chicken parm is amazing) , get anything... it is all amazing. The staff are the friendliest guys around and just hanging out there and listening to the convo's feels like you have been warped in to a Scorsese movie. Make sure to also try the frozen cappucino.
