Today, my mom arrived from India at JFK and I decided to introduce her to American Vegan food :) She said, "chaalaa baagundi ", which means very good, a high compliment!One of the greatest treats about visiting India is food (colors and live dance musicals are another); there's a ton of plant-based eats but the vegan food has some ways to go.

Excellent options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had the quesadilla and would definitely recommend it. No public bathroom and not a place you’d sit at for a long time with three tables and a small counter. Good for pick up or a quick bite.

THIS IS THE NEXT MOVEMENT!If I had to pick 3 words to use on my first time here today (2/1/24) I would say "that's Fk'n Delicious!" My wife found this place from Yelp and Google maps. I was surprised to see this place existed in Mineola. My usual spots were either Japanese ramen spots, Mediterranean, and God knows I hate salad. As a new vegan I love cooking my meals and rarely spending money on outdoor dining. But I'd drop money just to eat here. The ambiance is chill and I met Dina who was absolutely adorable and kind. The prices are good compared to many vegan spots. The food flavors are phenomenal and not bland. My burger cheese was not however top notch but it was amazing to say the least. I'm a cheese snob so I just had to be honest. But this burger was not dry at all.We ordered the Thursday loaded fries special, white bean soup, I got the sweet bean burger, and my wife got the Avocado Toast. And we got dessert. This place is clean and parking is not hard to find. They are also going to host a nice Valentines event. I love rustic restaurants with humble beginnings. And I can tell this place will be around for a long time. I invite all my vegans across the NY state and nationwide to try this place. Tell them Mick sent you. The soup was excellent. The BLAT seems like air fried bacon and no real flavor. I want authentic vegan food from scratch with a pinch of sass. It was my first time there. The cafe has a good ambiance and the people are nice. There should be more of an introduction to your menu than, here look at the menu.Parking: You have to look but there are some on side streets and sometimes the main street down by the church.

I come here every single week at least three times (no exaggeratIon). The food is amazing! It’s so delicious when I don’t eat it I am thinking about eating it. It’s also healthy which is a big deal for me! Many vegan/plant based places are not the healthiest options, but rock n roots delivers on the yum and health factor. Also very kid friendly-family owned! My two girls are welcomed like they are family and they feel it! I feel comfortable and everyone working there brings such a positive vibe to the restaurant and LOVE into their food! I leave feeling like my whole body is recharged and like my insides got a big hug. Highly recommend going there or ordering online- just eat their food and make yourself happy!Kid-friendliness: They’re family owned and treat kids like their own! Truly love them

My review is a little bias because Rock n Roots is like my second home. Dina and Sammy are like family and I'm visiting for either breakfast, lunch or dinner.? The food is always delicious and the service always warm and kind. Make sure you get those caramel apple turnovers for the holiday, they are sooooooo goood!

Great vegan spot! Love their monthly specials and pastries, especially the banana bread. Best meal I've had is the jackfruit sliders with slaw, mmmm. They also have really good loaded Nachos and the mushroom bits you can add are delishh!
