We had the rainbow roll, maki combo w/tuna maki, salmon maki, and crab maki and an eel maki combo and everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. Great portions, excellent presentation, and the service was on time, courteous, and friendly. Highly recommend Samurai Sushi of Williston Park.

So I often go there with friends after school on Fridays as a normal hang out place. However going there with my friends this Friday was a huge let down! One of my friends who can’t eat pork etc because of her religious customs was given pork soup dumplings, despite ordering veggie, and specifying 3 times. She ended up taking a bite and drinking the broth from the pork dumplings, only after swallowing did she think something was wrong. When acquiring staff service to ask, we were informed it was beef, and the response the staff gave to me was, “no you ordered pork”. I was just astounded at the lack of attentiveness, after checking the order he wrote down to realize it was vegetarian, did he apologize after. However the deed had already been done, and it was clear my friend was upset. They hadn’t even offered any alternatives to make it up to my friend. Only at the end when we requested not to pay for the soup dumplings only because it was clearly their mistake and caused my friend to go against her religious customs, did they (imo) decide to begrudgingly give a refund for the dumplings.

I have been to many sushi restaurants over the years and is the single worst experience I've ever had. I'm currently recovering from food poisoning after having the dynamite roll from this restaurant. I didn't finish the roll because something tasted off but clearly it was too late. Would never recommend this place.
Salad was really bad, like everything was a year old. Miso was metallic and gross. Sushi was ok. Service was really slow at lunch and no one was there.
