This was the second time we visited Barosa restaurant terrible terrible experience. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant except one other couple that left shortly after we came in which is very unusual for a Friday night. We were given menus, but I have to say as being the only two customers in the restaurant after the other couple left you would think that they would be more attentive. No the entire time we were there. It was terrible service. The waitress was not attentive at all. I mean, it’s a small place I mean she didn’t even check on us for ordering more drinks. We had to kind of call her over and getting her attention was hard because she was talking a lot with whomever was back there. I don’t know if it was the cook or whoever the owner it was just poor service . The only good thing we liked that we ordered from the menu was the appetizer, the coconut shrimp. All the other dishes we ordered didn’t even come out correctly and the food is mediocre. I just don’t understand maybe things have changed I don’t know if different owners took over? I have no idea. It was a great spot when it first opened. We even tried the empanadas because of one of the reviews that they were so great not the case, the empanadas were terrible. There was supposed to be cheese and chicken. It was all crust! What happened to the chicken and cheese?? the dish my partner ordered, It came out a totally different dish.It was NOT El pollito de oso Caliente it was anything but !? we don’t know what came out, but it wasn’t that dish. Then there’s my dish which was supposed to be The Baroso special. There was nothing special about it. It was missing one of the description ingredients that was supposed to be in the dish?! At this point, we were just so done, So we unfortunately will not be returning. So disappointing was hoping it would be like when they first opened. ?

Me and my boyfriend ended up here just to pass one hour and we had a blast! The service is more than 5 stars, they have fun little games to play and food is amazing too, we took the guacamole and chips expecting the usual thing but it was better than usual!

I took my husband out for Tapas and drinks on a weekend. There was a DJ and the drinks and food were great. It's the closest one can get to a New York bar atmosphere in the middle of Yorktown.

This chef is actually doing some things! Really good eats. Jibarito, shakshuka were both surprisingly good and clearly took some real thought and effort by the chef. I thanked the chef for a good meal and he sincerely appreciated it and had some real contagious enthusiasm. Looking forward to coming back!

We ate here for my nephew’s bday. Joe, the bartender/waiter, was so kind and accommodating towards the kids. Such a good role model for kids. The birra tacos are delicious.
Feels like you’re in the city! Amazing Service! Great Vibe with Great teasing food! The drinks so good too , I highly recommend!!!! Plus open till 2am on Friday and Saturday !!

So disappointed . The service was terrible . They had no drinks, any drink we ordered they didn’t have the ingredients for it, the food we ordered they didn’t have any chicken , we were so limited . There was a new waitress who had an attitude. And failed to check if we were ok, or needed anything. It was just so disappointing. I’m so annoyed and upset. I brought friends to enjoy what I thought would be a great place. Such an embarrassment. Never going back. And no management or anyone to talk to about our inconvenience. Absolutely ridiculous.

Unfortunately the food is not as good as the staff. Canned corn being passed off as corn on the cob. The steak tostadas came out very cold and also had a pre-made taste (Pico de gallo) which I couldn't eat at all. I tried though since the manager and staff were excellent. Sad to say this place fell off. Left $25 broker and still hungry.

Food wasn't ready at expected pick-up time, except for maybe 1 entree. Waited an extra 30 minutes at least for things to come out of the kitchen at all different times. They were out of rice and didn't communicate that some dishes would be substituted. Two orders of rice with shrimp were substituted as pork tacos. Multiple entrees were ordered as vegetarian, with extra notes saying that these should have NO PROTEIN, but everything came with meat on it. One order came correct and it wasn't even good (bland, chewy, dry).
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian requests were NOT honoured even though mentioned multiple times.
