We were there for the second time and the cackling hen is a nice little family owned place for great food and the atmosphere is very country like. We are looking forward to going back there more often.
Friendly, welcoming staff, cute theme and decor, and most importantly the food hit the spot. Big portions of quality, excellent coffee, all derived with a smile. Easy parking. Cash only but atm on site.
What a fun surprise! We were introduced to Cracklin’ Hen by a chance encounter with the owners at a random Total Solar Eclipse viewing spot in Parker’s Settlement, Indiana recently. The owners were SO kind and friendly, and shared a bottle of their Jalapeño Hot Sauce with us. Truly delicious!! Their slogan is spot on … they are “serious about quality”! It shows in their hot sauce and in the way they do community.
