Friendly staff, great pizza! Hawaiian and Deluxe ( requested green olives on the side ) both deep dish, perfect amount of sauce, toppings, and baked to perfection. Two large specialty pizzas under $50 fed 10 people with leftovers. Paper plates and napkins were provided upon request. Thank you for providing a great meal while visiting with family at a local nursing home.

East Chicago Pizza is hands-down the most baffling pizza experience I’ve ever had.
A few months ago, I went in and asked for a square pizza. Very simple request. They said yes. When I arrived, I was handed a CIRCLE pizza cut into TINY SQUARES. I genuinely thought this was a prank. There is no universe where that makes sense. When I refused to pay for it (because… come on), I had to argue with the staff, who then offered to remake it and charged me DOUBLE for the inconvenience they caused.
Instead of apologizing, they turned it into a running joke. On my next three visits, staff members would mock me and ask if I wanted my pizza “cut into squares” again. Super professional.
Today was the final straw. I ordered a small deep dish BBQ chicken pizza, expecting a normal small pizza like literally every other pizza place on earth. What I got was a pizza the size of my fist. No exaggeration. Maybe five pieces of chicken total, almost no cheese, barely any pineapple, and ALL bread. Just dry, sad bread in a box.
I truly wish I had taken pictures of my first visit and never come back after that. Today finally gave me proof that this place does not care about its customers, especially low-income college students who are just looking for decent food without getting ripped off or mocked.
If you want to be overcharged, underfed, and laughed at — this is your spot. Otherwise, save your money and go literally anywhere else.

Always courteous and if there is a mistake they fix it with no issues. Dwe do delivery a lot and have no issues with it being too long or cold. Very happy with the service.

I know that arriving 10 minutes before closing is wrong, but if the service closes at 9, it shouldn't, because slamming the doors and making comments to customers is something extremely wrong. It demonstrates the lack of professionalism of the business.

We ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza, and it was very good. The chef salad was fresh and taste good too. (Loved their French dressing) Always on time and served hot. Finished off with their cinnamon pops with icing, and we couldn't stop eating them. Very tasty.

Ordered handed tossed Pizza from them an bread sticks. Pizza was a thin crust not hand tossed. An bread sticks where very dowey. Called an told them. An was told to talk to a manager. Witch was rude from the get go. An told me the bread sticks where precooked an couldn't be dowey at all. An told me she could remake them when it already took almost 40 mins. An I told her no thanks an she got rude again stating the bread sticks could never be dowey cause there precooked. Wish I could post pictures of them. Cause this is crazy. No need to be rude with the customer when I was just letting them know my bread sticks wasn't done an that they messed my order up. I have meds to take an need to eat. An wasn't waiting another 40 minutes for them to remake my order. Worst service I have had from them.

Our dog club had a three-day event outside of Alger this past weekend. We pre-ordered with East of Chicago for all three days. The food was declicious (pizza and subs), the service was friendly and prompt, and our competitors were quite pleased.
