Marcella's Doughnuts and Bakery

I called on Wednesday and specifically asked “With it being EASTER, will you guys still be open Sunday?” And the employee said “yes, we will be open our normal hours”. We love the donuts but we have to drive an hour and a half to get them. So imagine our surprise when we got up at 5:30am to go get the donuts and find the doors locked 20 minutes past the “opening” time. Two others arrived around the same time as us and stated they were told the same thing, that they’d be open normal hours. Why are you telling people you’ll be open normal hours when you aren’t? Complete waste of gas and time.

Best donuts on the east side! Bar none!

I usually stop here once a month to grab donuts for the guys at the office, and they never disappoint. Make sure to try the Cronuts!!

I dream about these Donuts in my sleep. I'm not joking lol. If you've never had a cronut you are missing out big time! It's unlike any donut you've ever had I can promise you that. Picture a croissant with every layer of pastry dipped in glaze and then after it's stacked almost an inch, if not a whole inch high then the whole thing is dipped in a glaze. Personally like mine after it's sat there for a few and it's kind of cool off and become dense and the glaze becomes crunchy on the outside and it's so soft and moist on the inside but if you get there early you can get them warm and they're more gooey and either way they're absolutely amazing. Chocolate iced Donuts have always been my favorite and this place by far has outdone any other chocolate iced donut I've ever had. I can't help but just love the hours too I am not a morning person whatsoever so I absolutely love that they close at noon and then reopen at 6:00 p.m. it's perfect for me. I just wanted to share. Usually I will review and share when something's absolutely amazing or absolutely horrifying lol. That's it, that's all. Have a great day.

Unique hand crafted doughnuts! The cronut, maple bacon, cherry fritter, apple fritter and John are our favorites. Standard glazed doughnut is a good glazed doughnut. They have the standard cake doughnut with sprinkles etc... Try the blueberry! The filled doughnuts are STUFFED!!! A+ all around.
