Donuts were greasy
super disappointed in Marcella’s, came in by myself today to get some donuts and they all had this weird taste.. like metal, or machinery? Was afraid to even keep eating them :(
We came here expecting great donuts like Holtman’s, or Hurtz Donuts. Instead we got a donut that tasted like burnt rubber. The shop is rundown outside with hand rails broken and cigarettes littering the lot. Service was ok. We went at 9am on a Saturday and they only had 6 varieties to choose from.
Our first time trying Marcella’s in Amelia and it was so so good! Best donuts we’ve had in a long time. We did order online but I called to let them know we will be repeat customers from here on out and the employees were so kind on the phone. Usually when you call an establishment you feel rushed or there’s no answer. But the employee who answered was nice and then the manager was also. Thank you for your time and effort you put into everything.
Love, love, love Marcella’s. Whether we’re picking up a couple donuts as a treat or a couple dozen for a gathering, there are always tons of fresh and beautiful selections. I’ve never felt rushed, even when there was a line behind me, but I’m always taken care of quickly and efficiently all while getting friendly customer service. Their focus is on me and my order when it’s my turn. I’m a commercial property manager (I lease office space to small businesses) and like to bring in donuts for my tenants. They’re always asking me where I get them!
Best donuts on east side of town. Tiny shop you could drive and never notice. Right in the middle of Amelia next to Luke's.
It was my first time going here.I bought the cronut which was not all that. They were very chewy not as flakey really not that great overrated. The other 4 doughnuts were dry and my wife said her glazed one was good but the strawberry and chocolate were not that good either. The woman who helped us was very rude and somewhat confrontational. She made the experience bad for me being a 1st time customer it just rubbed me the wrong way and this is why I will not be back …. Giving you my view. Hotlmans to me was better they were there before this place
Zuri was absolutely amazing. Every time I am in there, she is there. She always greets me when I come in. She is always so helpful. That girl 100% needs a raise she’s great. This is the only donut shop I will go to And will continue to keep going too.
I called on Wednesday and specifically asked “With it being EASTER, will you guys still be open Sunday?” And the employee said “yes, we will be open our normal hours”. We love the donuts but we have to drive an hour and a half to get them. So imagine our surprise when we got up at 5:30am to go get the donuts and find the doors locked 20 minutes past the “opening” time. Two others arrived around the same time as us and stated they were told the same thing, that they’d be open normal hours. Why are you telling people you’ll be open normal hours when you aren’t? Complete waste of gas and time.
I love the donuts and cookies🤤
