Even with salt and pepper the scrambled eggs were tasteless, sausage patties just warm, toast soggy with imitation butter. The waitress was great though!

It's a good small diner, the owner does it all which backs up service when busy. She's actively looking to hire more staff.
It's an average breakfast spot.
Home style breakfast food, the prices are very reasonable.

Food was terrible! A chicken fajita salad that was supposed to have chicken, sautéed peppers and onions which we assumed would all be cooked together consisted of half a chicken breast that was barely warm, no onions, 5 pieces of pepper the size of a pea on a plate of iceberg Lettuce. No salad dressing is offered only micro half full cups of sour cream and salsa. Completely flavorless meal and when we asked for more sour cream to put over the dry plain iceberg lettuce, it was never brought. 2 of these awful salads, 1 coffee and one iced tea cost $39.54!! after they added a credit card fee that they didnt tell my husband about. It appeared on the texted receipt as they don't give you a paper receipt. We were able to eat at 2 other really good restaurants in the area WITH 1 COCKTAIL for literally a few dollars more or splurge for a huge meal and a cocktail with leftovers for 2 more meals at a 3rd restaurant in the area. Will never come here again! It certainly is no where near the quality the Hot Spot (it's predecessor) was.
The food was horriable. I order over easy eggs and my yolk was hard. I was very upest.

Service was excellent. Food was very good. Will be back.
Parking: Parking all around the business.
Kid-friendliness: I had my grandchildren. They really catered to them. My grandson got the fish sandwich from the main menu and ate it all. Granddaughter had cheeseburger and fries.
Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot is flat. Easy to get into building. Tables are spaced so wheelchair accessibility is no problem.

Was looking for a quick bite before heading home. The restaurant is dirty, the staff take forever to greet you and get your drinks. Then you wait 45 mins for food that looks and tastes like it was cooked on the street. The BLT took the longest to come out because they “ran” out of bacon. The menu states fresh cut fries, while that may be true, they were raw and we got maybe 8. We had to ask for silverware and it came out filthy. 10/10 don’t recommend.

Restaurantji Recommends
There was a sign at the door that stated "We are very short staffed. Please be kind to the people that showed up". What the sign failed to mention was that the people who "showed up" were volunteers with clearly little to no restaurant experience. Two gentlemen sat at the counter and a single diner in the restaurant was waiting on his check when we arrived. Shortly after us, two additional two-tops came in. The "server" took an extensive amount of time to bring our half-filled coffees and waters, then left to get more drinks when we told her we were ready to order. We asked for creamers and she tossed one creamer on the table for our two coffees, stating she would bring more over shortly. At this time, yes, several tables came in. Another 2 top, a 5 top, and two 6 tops. Mind you, these were not all at the same time, but she had already weeded herself by not understanding how to prioritize or multi-task. Every table heard the excuses of we are short staffed and/or we just got a rush. We waited 25 minutes for our food, which was brought out without silverware and was incorrect. We told the runner what was incorrect and she stated she would fix it. We never received the missing items. My husband went to the counter and grabbed silverware and jelly after waiting with our lukewarm food. Our coffees were never refilled, we watched the server water down coffees delivered to other tables. Apparently the owners daughter was getting married so the typical weekend crew was unavailable. After twenty years of restaurant experience, it would have been a much better decision to close for the weekend. We didn't receive slow service. We received no service.
We went here with a large party last weekend and the food was excellent! They were short staffed, which is to be expected, but a good burger, fries, and cold strawberry lemonade is exactly what we needed after a day on the lake! Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a home cooked meal, just be patient :)
