Food was excellent as always the only thing I wish they would do different is when they have a takeout order put the sour cream/ranch in the same box as the food maybe put it on the side be better especially sour cream

2/15/26. I dont ever let things bother me enough to make a review about a place, but tonight i couldn't let things slide. After getting our order home we discovered the cheese sticks was missing. No big deal I figured busy things get forgotten. When called back the obnoxious laughter that came through the phone was mind blowing. After the unprofessional act we then asked if the cheese sticks could be delivered we live roughly 5 minutes away the lady said hold on I will ask my wife was waiting for 5 minutes. I took it upon myself to make the drive back in. I made it back to the restaurant called my wife to be told they just got back to her and said no. It took almost 10 minutes to get the answer. Spoke to manager to then being hung up on. Cheese sticks cold. Being from ansonia we like to support our small businesses but the only thing that keeps us ordering whistle stop is convenience. From now on it will not be option

I had never been here before, but it was really the only place to eat in Ansonia. I was surprised that it wasn't a diner (for what that's worth), and my wife and I were warmly greeted by the server/bartender. The prices were fantastic, the food was very good, and the portions were generous. This is the place that others want to be, but others charge $8 more for a burger. I will absolutely be back to this hidden gem of a place.

The restaurant was cute and the food smelled great upon entering. I had a fried chicken salad. My salad was good. However, my husband ordered their “hand breaded” fish. When it arrived, we both laughed out loud because it was so obviously NOT hand breaded. He ended up sending his food back because he said the fish had a grainy texture, and tasted like sour aspirin. When he told our server, she said “Are you sure?” Before she said “Oh I am sorry about that.” When she asked if she could get my husband something else, he declined. Our server never came back to our table. A young man asked us if we wanted our check, and when he brought it, they had not comped any of the spoiled food. My husband paid full price for a meal that wasn’t fully fit to eat.

We came in at 7:30 pm, and were not acknowledged, asked about drinks or anything. A large group came in about 15 people and their waitress took drink orders right away. We walked out after 13 minutes. Our waitress never even said give me a minute or anything. Started cleaning tables, came and checked out table behind and never even looked at us or said anything. Just rude! 10/24/25

Well it is marketed well for race fans and it's a solid spot to grab some food before getting to the track, Eldora wings seem better? The burgers seem like the best option! The wings are seemingly prefrozen and are 6/10 if I'm being a critic. The sandwiches are decent. Really great spot, but I think the food could be better. Definitely some room for improvement, specifically with the chicken wings. Everything else is decent and it's a fantastic spot for race fans.
