Went through the drive thru, there was 3 cars. We waited for 20 minutes and the line didn’t move. This place sucks

Stopped for a burger. We had fried mushrooms and small milkshakes too. Americana food done just right. You eat your car or weather permitting at picnic tables behind the restaurant.

Disappointing to be writing this about the ice cream place I have ate at since I was a child (new owners). The chocolate milkshake was almost as thin as chocolate milk, and had a good half inch from the top that there was no product. Also- got a kids chocolate cone that couldn’t even hold up while eating it, was falling off the sides within seconds. All chocolate? Bc the vanilla soft serve was “down” for the 3rd time since new owners. This is the 3rd time we have given this place a try and tonight was the final time we will be back.
Staff was friendly- doesn’t make up for the terrible tasting ice cream.

Stopped in for dinner about an hour before closing yesterday. Fantastic! The food was amazing and was a great price for what we got. Food only took a few minutes to come out. It was all fresh and perfectly hot. There is definitely some passion in their kitchen because it all was clearly made with love. The ice cream was fantastic and once again a great price for the amount we got. The employees were super friendly and smiling. The golden bear is 100% going to become a new regular spot for us. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu.
Parking: Spots are all close to building and you can see your car the whole time you're there as well as the whole area feels safe enough to leave your windows down and doors unlocked
Kid-friendliness: Nice covered outdoor seating safe from the hot sun with a nice breeze that you can see your car from.

i went for 1st time this year and it will be my last ever. Almost $20 for 2 large shakes ( which went from a 32oz to a 20oz) and a pb sundae. Maybe post signs informing customers that the size of items has gone down but price has gone up. I used to enjoy going there but no longer, I will support The Dalton Dariette from now on. To top it off, the milkshakes are more milk than anything

This place serves store brand and dollar store ingredients and tries to run a restaurant. They will get your food wrong, 100% something will be wrong. Always check before driving off.
Exploring the region with my friends, we stumbled upon this gem. Good burgers and fries, fast service, a cool local spot. If you're driving down 250 and need a place to check out, I reccomend the Golden Bear!

This place has gone downhill. I have been eating here for 28 years. We come from AZ to visit family every summer, and we eat here a couple of times while here. Never again. My shack was hot, not even 80°. I asked the young lady's if they could please add the ice cream they forgot, and they said thats how they make them now. That's not a shack that's hot chocolate milk. Sorry to see this to an old faithful place to eat.

This place is an icon of Apple Creek and Wayne county. After moving away at the end of the 1970’s, it was great to stop in for a Golden Bear cheeseburger. Hometown friendly, hometown good!
