I don’t understand any positive reviews for this place. 5 of us ordered the breakfast buffet. It was bad, so bad! The only edible item on my plate was a slice of ham. Someone else tried a donut & it was harder than a hockey puck. Scrambled eggs had a weird taste, same with sausage patties. We all regretted not going elsewhere. Our waitress had zero personality & very unpleasant. (Later learned it was an owner) We will never return.

Great service and Perch basket was delicious
Simple Life Diner is exactly that. It’s about small town feeling, local diner with daily specials. The yellow perch was fresh and crispy and the pie and cheesecake is to die for. They also sell whole homestyle pies.
Absolutely annihilated the burgers we waited a Godsend on. They were cooked until hockey puck consistency. Looked like they began life as Bubba burger patties from Walmart and ended up as charred dress shoe heels. The buns were “great value” quality also and burned on a flat top before the whole burger was assembled. The veggies, on the other hand, were good, such as thick onion slices, fresh lettuce, and a nice slice of tomato. If this restaurant could try harder, maybe hand forming a patty with some fresh 80/20 on a brioche style bun, cooked medium-well, they’d have some winning burgers. The trucker quality crap they’re slinging now doesn’t cut it in a $12 price point.

Neat little place. Didn't even know that it existed until some friends took us there. Food was awesome. Got the buffet. Will definitely go back!!

It’s like we were invisible here. Sat ourselves and 30 mins in and no waiter came back to get our drink orders. Ate the buffet and had to go up and wait for someone to acknowledge we exist to pay the bill for the buffet. Absolute worst service I have never had at any restaurant I’ve ever been to.

Everything was…average. Wasn’t bad, wasn’t “good” - just average.
Would I eat here again? Probably
Would it be my first choice? Not at all.

Just had a delicious breakfast! The breakfast bake was out of this world! The biscuits and gravy was really good and the gravy wasn't too floury like some places. The French toast was really good and the coffee was good too! Good breakfast smells and friendly service. Just an great place to eat. Yeah, I ate too much, don't judge me.

So I recently visited this diner last Friday.
I have nothing bad to say about my dinner. I got the buffet and it was delicious! I had heard the pies were amazing so I asked the waitress (who I later found out was the owner) if I could get a piece of pie. She was not very nice about it. In fact she just stared at me and said nothing at first like I was a big inconvenience. I realize it was a busy night and all the staff was super busy but you should never treat customers like that. I felt very unwelcomed from the time I walked in from her. The owner probably should be in the back and not interacting with customers. I thought maybe someone called off and she just stepped in to waitress cause she had to but the couple behind me said she waitresses everyday. Surly she does not keep the tips that is illegal! My sister owned a small diner and not only is it morally wrong and distasteful but it is illegal to collect tips if there is a waiter/waitress on the clock receiving waitress wages. Even if the owner waits on the table from start to finish.
So although the buffet was great....the pie was not so much.
I hope the owner is not taking from her employees that make 5.25hr. (FLSA)
