Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

French toast and pancakes must have been made up in advance. They were rubbery and hard. What a shame. It's my favorite part . If the CEO wants to change things....then change the hard uncomfortable chairs to some comfy ones. Maybe get bigger tables. No room to even set food down. I hate that the restaurant that was once great has become mediocre. Why did you take the flounder off and replace it with the repulsive trout. Why do we need alcohol. Go back to the way it was. No place for handicapped people to sit while waiting. Rockers are scary for people with balance issues. They used to have a wooden bench but took them away. No old handycapped people have to suffer. Fix what's wrong and quit changing what's right.

4 of us stopped into Austintown Cracker Barrel, the person seating us took forever to seat us, Lots of open tables. When we were finally seated 3 of us ordered Chicken and dumplings other person ordered Chicken. We were at our table for 1.5 hour's total. Food was cold and they were out of corn bread, it was baking. Table's we're not being cleaned after guests left. Way to long of a wait, on top of that the menu is now very small, not even a chef's salad anymore.. very disappointed 😞

Canfield OH location was pretty busy but not full. Server split my order delivery, toast and biscuits arrived much later than food, eggs were cold before toast arrived. Need to have plain white toast vs only sourdough option. Order was messed up, got double hash browns instead of grits. Wait for service was way too long. Sausage patties had too strong a smoke flavor, pancakes were off vs historic normal in taste. Ambient noise way too loud, need to get noise reducing panels in ceiling.

Service was terrible, we ordered and ten minutes later waitress said the broccoli cheddar chicken was going to be 20 minutes until it was ready. Said it was the kitchens fault. Kept promising to bring bread but did not. Waitress seemed to be unfocused.

I would like to take a minute to say think you to the amazing manager and team from this restaurant. My family was driving from New York to Columbus to drop off my younger daughter at Ohio State which is about 2.5 hours from this location. When we got to Columbus my older daughter realized she left her purse inside the restaurant. We called and after confirming our identity the manager agreed without hesitation to mail the purse to our house in New york. He would not even take a money for the cost of shipping. She is leaving to study abroad and it would have been really hard to get all credit card and ids in time. I can’t even think of way to show how grateful and appreciative we were for this kind gesture. Thank you so much for you thoughtfulness and kindness to a stranger.
We love Cracker Barrel for their food and atmosphere but now will always be a fan due to this act of kindness.

Order not ready on time after an extra 25 minutes went inside to ask about my order only to be told they're just now packing it up. When my order was brought to me I was told there was no biscuits or cornbread what I like to wait for it. Well I paid for it I should get it so I waited an additional 10 minutes for it. At least it was hot. Overall quality of the food about average, it seems like the quality has gone down in recent years

Hash brown casserole Shepard pie was terrible this evening and the replacement one.. No mash potatoes or sour cream was added as menu states...Manager was rude about it,Very careless about the customers meal.. $16.95 ...Definitely processed food they heat up.. biscuits were half done...no more for us ..This manager just doesn't care and he proved it this pm ! I'm glad other customers agreeed with us and left cause no one would seat them, they should be happy about that and went somewhere else and received good food!

Real Southern food has quality and good taste..not your's. CB!
