In Avon Lake for the eclispe and to see family who live there. We have gone to Rio for coffee dozens of times in the past. They were asking $6 for a cup of coffee - special pricing and menu due to the eclipse - that is usually $2. I like supporting local merchants everywhere we travel, but they've lost a customer going forward.

Red Cedar is the best coffee in the world. Dave is an awesome boss and really great to the employees who actually work and put forth the effort. It's a really nice place to just go and relax and enjoy your beverage. I believe the people who left bad reviews would complain about anything and everything. Starbucks and Dunkin, you are paying for the name. At Rio's, you are paying for quality. Go see for yourself, I promise you will not regret it.

As a former employee, Dave (the owner) is one of the most egotistical and mean people I've ever met. Not a day went by where I didn't feel humiliated from being yelled at in front of customers/people or had to comfort other employees because they had to face his horribly condescending and miserable manner. He made the work environment stressful and was constantly complaining about everything. If he wasn't complaining, he would be talking about himself incessantly. Though he worked with mostly teen girls, he would still behave inappropriately. He gossips about employees to other employees and even talks badly about his customers. My breaking point was being cussed out behind my back with insults like being referred to as a "mf” (can’t spell out bc of google). I was a good employee and deserve to be treated as such. I never thought I would experience seeing a grown man tear down young women just to feed his ego. This is not a "revenge" post nor do I want to continue his negativity, this is just to warn future employees and customers. He should consider himself lucky to have somehow got such an otherwise wonderful staff to work for him and the coffee is very delish. However, not delicious enough to be treated like garbage.

Okay you wake up on vacation and YOU are in need of Coffee and some food would be nice. On the odd occasion you are without your kids, just your wife. Want a a pleasant, quaint, friendly place, well I got you covered. Well not me but the ladies at Rio Coffee Brewery do. We were welcomed with a smile and although they were busy for a Saturday morning (expected) we got our drinks (large lattee with honey and a Med Mocha) rather quickly. We ordered a Big breakfast burrito and Chicken Mango wrap, yes you can order anything on the menu all day. We got take away and the food was delivered hot. We live abroad and the Coffee is Always too Hot here in the US but they killed it with a very nice and drinkable Coffee. So let's review, you're lost in a city, say Avon/ Avon Lake and in need of Coffee and fresh food. Well make your way over to Rio the ladies will welcome you and you, your family heck the whole gang will not be disappointed.Parking: Entrance is around the building. The drive thru is on the parking side. So you may think it's drive thru only since it's so small but no. It has seating inside.

Coffee is the best! Nice, shiny, dark, fresh beans. I recommend Northern Lights. Great place to hang out with others or bring your work for a change of scenery. Book share. My favorite coffee shop.

Got there at 12.40 they close at 1 pm in the afternoon. I was hungry and figured they serve until 1pm since it’s such an early close time.. (which is the close time). Was told they are not doing any food. Working in the food industry we close at the actual time and serve food until 9pm which is when we close. Even if guests walk in at 8.55pm. Closing at 1pm in the afternoon you’d think they could make a sandwich in 5/10 minutes and get me out of there at 12.45/50 still 15 min before the actual close time. The lady at the window was really nice and it wasn’t her fault… just need consistency.
