McAlpine Meadery is hands down one of our favorite spots. We originally found it randomly, but now we make every effort to visit whenever we can. The mead is fantastic, but what really brings us back is the atmosphere and the hospitality. Jess is truly amazing—she brings such a great energy to the place and ensures everyone is having a fun time. If you haven't been yet, you are missing out on a truly fun experience.

The décor was very Viking, dark ages that was heavy, dark woods, and the people were very friendly down-to-earth.And what I could say is my kind of people. They have. Bands, every Saturday night. And medieval fight had happened there outside during the summer.

I attended the birthday bash here on 11/1/25. I was impressed with the attendance and the performers and game venders. I found out about this meadery during a renfest. I love the mead they make. (Enough to drive 3 hours each way) My fav is blood of my enemies. I also tried valkerie lemonade at the party. It was good but not replacing my fav. I also found out that there are retailers that carry their mead much closer to me. Jungle Jim's in Cincy carry their mead. Definitely working visiting the meadery if in the area. If you can't visit and are interested in a good mead reach out to the meadery and see where you can buy the best mead I've tasted.

Its been cleaned up a LOT! There is now a dedicated stage for the times that bands are playing. The grand reopening was a great time with the knights fighting! I hope they do this again!

got to meet the new owner at viking fest on Friday, and she very kindly brought a few special requests for me with her. as I can not get those flavors in stores near me, and making the trek to the actual Meadery is a long drive for me. so customer satisfaction remains awesome as always, and so will be the 14 bottles I got to acquire as well! thank you again Jess!!
