I ordered online and was told it will be ready at 12:40. I arrived at 12:45 and the hostess went back to check. When she came out I was told "it will be right out." 20 min, I'm still waiting and a man comes in asking for his call-in order and he was told that they're just waiting for his omlet. 30 min later he got his food and I got mine. While this was the first time I ordered online, it is not the first time that I have waited a long time for food. The first time was when they recently opened and I figured it was them working the kinks out of the system. Two more times, I was told that they had a rush and got backed up. Now it's just not worth the time. I really hope they fix their kitchen timing but it just seems like instead of fixing the problem they give out discount.
Tried this particular IHop 3 times hoping it would get better. Visited today (Tuesday) after lunch. Many open tables and booths. Waited to be seated when no one is there. Took a while to get waited on but people are being seated around us and orders being given. After a long wait, the waitress brought our food and apologized for the flat pancake that wasn't made correctly. Tried a bite anyway, it was cold. I wouldn't be writing this but this has been the situation before. Definitely will not return.
I really want to give IHOP 5 stars because I just love their food. Unfortunately, I have never made it out of this place without incident. They always make it right so I'll not go into detail, but I just wish they could do better.
The service here is absolutely horrible. There was a 20 minute wait to be seated. No biggie. Or shouldn't have been. They seated a party of 6 and a party of 2 who both parties came in after us. There was two other groups skipped as well so when we all spoke out to the manager, she did get us seated right after that but WITHOUT any manners, no I'm sorry for the inconvenience no NOTHING. She wouldn't even look at us. We got seated without silverware and got our food before the silverware. We ordered two vanilla iced coffees and the flavor was disgusting and we sent them back. We just moved into the area and WILL NEVER go back here again. I'll drive to the Dayton Mall Area and go to The Original Pancake House.
Not the best IHOP experience we have had. While the waitress (overwhelmed as they were understaffed), was excellent, the cook was not up to snuff. Eggs were over-cooked, bacon was under-cooked, pancakes came out half cooked and doughy in the center, making the meal less than enjoyable, we'll say. We've always been happy with our experiences at I HOPE, this particular one was not of the same excellent quality we've had. I suggest management look into this store, and look into the matter. We will continue to give business to IHOP, and maybe even the Fairfield Commons location. Thank you for the opportunity to advise you.
