McAlister's food is always pretty good. Fresh. Tasty. Nothing special but consistently good. And I often order it for delivery since I WFH. Their tortilla soup was as always super good today, and they take care to wrap the container in cling film to ensure it never spills. In general, their food typically travels well and is packaged well. Or so I thought until today... I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, add cucumber. The picture shows what a mess it was. Impossible...

Terribly SLOW service. Maybe short staffed? New person on register? No one opened a second register to help the long line. 20 minutes to order, 30+ for food to come out. Everyone at our table of 9 were served but my dinner sat while employee focused on carry out people. I finally went up to get my own dinner. Manager was not helpful to see there was a problem or help with the line, register, or food getting to table. The food was cold by the time I got it.

Delicious food (albeit expensive), but the issue is customer service. Empty restaurant, plenty of staff, yet I waited almost 30 minutes for my food (people there longer than me were still waiting as well). Staff didn't seen to give a crap about any of it. Wouldn't be so mad if a sandwich, side, and drink wasn't $25!
