I come to a restaurant for a pleasant experience, pay (more than I think they should be) for drinks, and get served with PAPER STRAWS. That is NOT pleasant, and to me it ruins the drink. It like drinking part of my napkin a.few minutes in. C'mon, El Toro. Ridiculous.

Worst service I have had at an el Toro. Had to wait for everything. No staff at front desk, no server to provide refills, long wait for food. Had get up and hunt down some one to pay our for our food. Will never return to this el Toro.

Food is always good. Staff are friendly when you're there.
Warning: if you're trying to save time ordering carryout on GrubHub etc. they don't seem to put your order into their system until you arrive at the restaurant. Happened to us twice now, so, I assume that is their standard practice.

My fiance and I went for dinner tonight and he got a monster burrito and i got nachos with beef. My nachos were soggy and there was no seasoning on the beef and it looked like straight cat food and tasted like cat food. I could only eat a little bit of the ground beef. My fiance burrito he said was extremely hot and found a whole chile not even really cut up inside the burrito. Our server wasnt that good and we had other people filling our drinks and bringing our food. Not once did he ask how everything is going. I usually dont like posting reviews but after coming home and getting really sick from the beef and my fiance not feeling well this needs to be said. There's better mexican restaurants out there.

My carne asada is sweet. Don’t know if I need to type more, but I will. The amount of food is great for the price. It also came with extra cheese, lettuce, and guacamole in a side container. However their caramelized onions weren’t rendered enough and they tasted like they used a sweet sauce. Worst part was the carne asada had no char or crisp. It was edible, but definitely lacking. All in all edible, but I realized much too late that I just ate at the Mexican Apple Bees.

Everything looked and tasted good, however the ground beef was too salty. I had the burrito Mexicano, my friend had the enchilada.

El Toros is just okay. The kids like going for Taco Tuesday, but we don't go all the time and far less than we used to. Fortunately, the kids are extending the palate and open to try new things. But I've had both good and bad experiences dining at El Toro. One of the weirdest complaints that I never thought I'd have to say about a Mexican Restaurant is that they 100% use skyline chili sauce on some of their menu items and that's just disgusting in my opinion. I even mentioned it once when asked how our meal was, and they didn't deny it... There's just nothing quite like that skyline taste/smell, and it belongs nowhere around the Mexican food. At the location by the Greene, we once waited so long for our waiter to come back that eventually I got up and found the To Go box my Dad needed and brought it to him myself.
Outside of the skyline sauce and sometimes poorly trained staff, we've had good times mostly because we're out together, talking, enjoying the family time, laughing, etc. But we definitely prefer the sugarcreek/bellbrook location by far even though we have to drive further to get there. The restaurant is always clean from my experience, if your dining group has any handicap guests included I don't see you having any problem dining in, there's bar seating for those interested, and plenty of tvs/sports, their menu is pretty big so you have a wide variety to choose from and hopefully not end up getting surprised by a taste of skyline when it comes! (Try More Than an Apron sometime. That's my favorite go-to for tacos!! Lol)

I have no idea why people love El Crapo. They keep opening new restaurants. It’s not at all authentic. There are so many better Mexican places to eat. Try Taqueria or Sonora. Try anything other than this imitation Mexican food.

Good: Restaurant was clean

Bad: Service was very slow, the waiter was working hard but there clearly weren't enough waiters for the restaurant. Food was expensive given the mid-low quality. Birria tacos were $20, but the meat wasn't very tender. My steak tacos were $19, and there was very little steak. My modelo was $8, and a bottle of corona light was $6.

I ordered chicken fajitas they were not good. Not warm and I feel like they were left over. The side of guac was so disgusting. Tasted bad and dark color just like what came with the fajitas. I usually got to the one in Centerville and it's always amazing. Now after spending $28 I'm so disappointed.
