I came here this past spring and it was.... alright just alright. The people were nice and the restaraunt was comfortable but the food wasn't really much to ride home about for the price. Maybe it was just an off day maybe I'll try again sometime.

My sister recommended that while in the area for a month, I should not miss their Friday fish dinner or a good breakfast or lunch any day. A smiling hostess greeted me immediately. I went on a Friday a week ago. I sat at the counter because one seat was available and was dining alone. A waitress greeted me immediately. She re-cleaned an already clean counter before me. I knew fish was my desire and didn't look at the menu for their other meal selection. I ordered the two-piece of fish instead of the all-you-can-eat. The wait time can't even be described as a wait. I could see the action of the grill and cooking area. These folks have been doing this for a long time, is my guess. I was happily surprised at the size of the filets. I wouldn't need the AUCE. The price of the unlimited was inexpensive, in my opinion. I'll go back this Friday, October 10th. I may be bringing a bigger appetite and plan to bring home a slice of pie or cake, too, depending on what they have available. I think the desert choices for pie may change based on what fresh fruit is in season.

I have lived near this place for the past 12 years and haven't had the opportunity to stop until this morning. We arrived right at 6:00 am and the place was already partially filled with locals. This in my opinion is always a good sign. The place is small and cozy and for me was nostalgic. It reminded me of an old diner from my childhood. The waitress greeted us and was kind and attentive and she kept our coffees filled without us having to ask. I ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy with eggs, and my fiance tried their corned beef hash with eggs and toast. The food was excellent and we both cleaned our plates. Please support this place and give it a try as little mom and pop places like this are disappearing and being replaced with typical boring chain restaurants. We'll be back for sure. Planning on trying lunch next. Enjoy.

The philly sandwich needs to better, very greasy and barely any peppers or onions. Fried mushrooms were good for the frozen type. The chicken tenders were made from cornmeal which is not on the menu and when my son didn't like it she said we could have something else but we would still have to pay for the chicken tenders, so my 9 year old son and I left hungry. Coleslaw tasted very strong of vinegar and very watery. Server (middle aged plus size woman with brown hair) had an attitude and even though she had an attitude I still tipped good. She seemed to be friendly to people she recognized (probably regulars) but to people who were new she was very short and rude with. Not returning or recommending. I love mom and pop diners and was very disappointed. 😒

I stopped in while passing through Belleville, Ohio, and needed some delicious food fast—and they did not disappoint. I had the breaded veal with a hot vegetable, and everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly.

Even though it’s a small restaurant, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and incredibly attentive—I was in and out in just 15 minutes, but it felt like a complete dining experience.
