Great little diner. It's like stepping back in time. Best hash browns in the world. There's usually a wait but that's because there's very few of these little gems still around any more. The waitress was great and treated us like family.

Used to visit the Mansfield location. Wasted many, many lunch hours driving to the location only to find a handwritten note on the door providing an excuse as to why they were closed for the day AGAIN. I swore to never eat at a V&M again. A friend in Bellville stated it was under new management and he wanted me to try it with him. Grudgingly I accepted because the special of the day was bean soup and I went to get some for my wife. I ordered two bowls to go. I was later told they ran out and was asked if I wanted chili or vegetable soup instead. Serious? Did I order chili or vegetable soup? Nope. Different owner, same disappointment. Maybe... just maybe... if you have a special for the day... elevate your expectations and make enough to get through lunch traffic. Doesn't hurt to not get thrown off because you get an extra customer or two.

Carol B took care of me this am. Great eggs, yummy French toast - full coffee and a Coffee to go …. She even noticed I was not eating my cinnamon French toast and offered new without so much cinnamon.
Great half way between Clevleand Medina area and CBUS to enjoy a great breakfast. Will be back

Their fish dinner is to die for. We've been going here for over 20 years and ALWAYS get the fish dinner. Friday night beginning at. 3:30 is the All You can Eat fish special. Most ever eaten was 9 pieces if that tells you how generous the portions are. HIGHLY recommend. The staff are fantastic.

This was our first time here, what a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was usual small local diner, but the food was ridiculous good! We were there for breakfast around 10am. Biscuits and sausage gravy was VERY well seasoned... Not spicy but not bland like many. Coffee delicious. Waitress friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Very affordable. Can't wait to return and try another breakfast or lunch meal.

Great spot! We ate breakfast here before heading to Mid-Ohio each day and it was fantastic! We're from Charleston, SC where we have big name chefs, award winning restaurants and a huge foodie culture and I would just as soon eat at V&M everyday as most of our highbrow establishments in CHS. V&M has a wonderful, authentic American mom-n-pop feel, serving quality food that is expertly prepared by a kitchen that cares. Think it's easy to do the basics like toast and eggs or pancakes and sausage correctly? You'd be wrong. And I'm telling you that this place nails it! Wish we had been around to try lunch!
