I learned about Unicorn Wine Guild from a Parkersburg brochure. This is not a winery but a store/restaurant/wine bar. It is situated in a basic shopping plaza. Don't let that fool you. Inside you will find a large shop and seating area where you can enjoy not only wine, but tea, coffee, sandwiches and snacks. Additionally, they sell wine and beer making equipment as well as related gifts. My husband and I stopped for a tasting on a Monday afternoon. We were delighted to learn samples were just $.35 each and were offered a tree, which held five small wine glasses tagged with the wines we had selected for sampling. We were also served water and crackers. Can you imagine? These are not the most sophisticated wines in the world, but they are quite drinkable. They offer some thing for every taste. I am pleased that they featured a number of German and Austrian grape wines. As the wines are very reasonably priced we purchased a number of them. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming. I recommend stopping in.
