We have ordered many custom boards that are not only beautiful, they are curated with the perfect combination that make for an amazing bite each time. Maks dips are the best we’ve had. Had many good experiences with Mak’s until the owners were very rude and disrespectful to my mother. She tried to use a coupon when they were closing down shop in Blanchester and was berated with harsh words from the owner. For using a coupon they agreed to sell as part of a school fundraiser. When my mother pushed back she was immediately banned from all Mak’s locations current and present. Absolute joke. The owner has no concept on how to run a profitable business and was bailed out by the Monkey Bar (who I believe is ran by the owners family) after things went south in Blanchester. Curious how long they will support her dream of owning a restaurant/bakery before reality sets in and they close down for good.

I have yet to try the pumpkin donut holes or the brownie with icing sandwiches, but I expect they will be in the same category’

Every single time I come here it’s closed!! Showed up today at 12:40 and they were close they don’t “close” until 2? Would like to get info on catering charcuterie boards for my wedding, but doesn’t look like that will happen since they’re always closed ?☹️

A drug rep brought lunch boxes from Mak's and OMG, I don't know how I've never heard about this place!! I had the MAK daddy and it was delicious. And the chocolate chip cookies are so soft and as big as my hand. I took off one star because they forgot lunches and didn't understand dietary restrictions so a few of my co-workers were unable to eat. But my meal was fantastic!!

Coffee is always amazing and staff is always friendly! Stopping at Mak’s on my commute to work is even easier, faster, and more cost effective than going through the Starbucks line☺️ My recommendation? Iced raspberry mocha with cold foam!
Brian and Kristen McVey have created a high quality space in Blanchester. It makes our town better. I hope we continue to elevate Blanchester to this level. Kristen has a knack for interior design and has made a great environment. The coffee is great, the pastries are delicious, and I personally love the charcuterie.

I had high hopes. Small shops don't typically last long in Blanchester and I like to patronize them when I can. Maybe ordering from the posted menu of lunch options is a better choice. The only bakery items in the store were a shelf of cupcakes and muffins. I would have expected more variety of baked goods. My goal was to order a birthday cake. The girl at the counter took down what I was looking for then encouraged me to reach out to Kristen via Facebook messenger or email as she didn't know prices or feasibility of what I was asking for and gave me both contact methods. Purchased two lemon crumble cupcakes from the display shelf before leaving. I don't have Facebook so emailed Kristen with the same information. The lemon cupcakes were not very lemony and were dry. There was a lack of responsiveness in communication with Kristen through email. Two emails took five days. I did receive an estimated price for the cake and didn't feel it was outrageous for what I was asking for if high quality baked goods was to be expected. In the end the lack of responsiveness and the lack of quality in the cupcakes made my decision to not use Mak's for my order.

This place is amazing! The food is delicious. She also has a little shop off of the side that has all sizes. Even for us full figure ladies. I highly recommend Mak's.

Hard working honest family showing that you can make it if you work hard enough and don't give up. I love the spice swine sandwich. The spicy jelly on it. Sooo good. And don't try the chocolate chip sammies. They are disgusting ?(can't have them running out when I come for 1 or 5?)

Mak’s is such an awesome addition to Blanchester! The food is delicious, healthy, and very affordable. I’m addicted to the chicken salad sandwich lunch box. I also love the atmosphere inside the restaurant, makes for a nice relaxing lunch spot. Definitely a place to visit while in Blanchester.
